The ROE Buzz: February
Month of October
Message from Mrs. Quintanar
Dear ROE Families,
Due to the adjustments we had to make with assessments, meetings, and schedules, we truly appreciate your patience and flexibility. Please don’t hesitate to communicate with your child’s teacher if you have any questions—we’re always here to help.
Our students have been working incredibly hard, and it has been wonderful to see just how much they have grown since the beginning of the school year. From academic progress to increased confidence and independence, their growth truly reflects the learning that has taken place across our campus.
We are currently continuing our middle-of-the-year assessments, which help us measure student growth and guide instruction moving forward. Thank you for your continued support as your child does their very best during this important time.
Assessment Overview by Grade Level:
Pre-K: CLI Testing
Kindergarten–2nd Grade: TPRI (Reading) and i-Ready Reading & Math
3rd–5th Grade: i-Ready Reading & Math
As we balance strong instruction and assessment, we also value the importance of building relationships and celebrating our ROE community. We are excited to host Donuts with Dudes next Friday, February 6 from 7:30–8:30 a.m. This special event allows our students to share a meaningful morning with dads, uncles, grandpas, or another important adult in their life. We look forward to welcoming our families for a morning filled with smiles, connection, and of course- DONUTS!
Thank you for being such an important part of our ROE family. 💙🍩

If a student is not wanting breakfast he/she will proceed to the gym if it is prior to 7:15 am and sit by grade level. Students arriving between 6:50 - 7:15 will go straight to the cafeteria and have the opportunity to eat breakfast.
Dismissal at ROE
- Dismissal Time: Please note the dismissal traffic flow.
- Car Riders: If you are picking up a student from the car line you must have a car sign with the student's name on it. If you do not have a car sign you will not be able to pick up your child in the car line. You will need to park your car and come into the front office inside the school. Please have your ID ready. We will ask for the student's name and check your ID before releasing the child to you. Every child's safety is of utmost importance to us.
Oops! I Forgot Something at Home 😔
If your child forgets something they need for school you will be able to drop the item off in the vestibule of the school. We will have a table to put the item on. Please label the item with a sticky note. We will check the table throughout the day and make deliveries as necessary. Please make all deliveries before 2:15 P.M. to ensure a timely delivery to your child! 😊
ROE Early Sign-Out Policy
- We understand there are times when you need to pick up your child early from school! We do encourage you to make appointments during after school hours, but we know there are times when that cannot be done.
- In the event you need to pick up your child early please do so by 2:15 P.M. You will sign your student out in the front office. Please make sure you bring your drivers license in order to check out your child.
- Picking your child up early will result in an early sign out and it goes against your attendance.
Birthday Celebrations at ROE

We do NOT have birthday parties in the classrooms.
Parents are permitted to drop off cupcakes, cookies, etc (commercially prepared) in the front office and the teacher will hand them out to their classmates. We ask that you drop off the desserts before 2:15 to ensure a timely delivery to your child's class.
