Join the East Fallowfield STEM Fair!
Is your student excited about science and engineering? If so, please fill out this interest form, and Mrs. Billman will contact you with more details.
This year’s STEM Fair might look a little different than in past years! Students can choose to work on either a science project or an engineering design challenge. Both projects will need to be presented on a board and or a prototype.
Kindergarten & 1st grade: research science topic, experiment, or design project.
Grades 2–5: Students can follow the scientific process and/or the engineering design process like we use in class for a science or engineering project.
Once the form is submitted, more information will be sent your way to help your student get started.
Art To Remember
Art to Remember is a fundraiser that helps parents and schools preserve children’s artwork, while raising money for art education with custom printed keepsakes. The organization will scan in the artwork students completed at school, create a custom order form for every child, and parents can order online. Families, friends, and students all get to keep something that celebrates their creativity. Not only is it something each child can be proud of but something that they can remember.
Pick-Up Patrol
The New Way to Share Dismissal Changes - Digitally
We are so excited to announce that 79% of our families have registered with PickUp Patrol. Thank you to all who have already signed up and assigned your child's default plan. If you have not already done so, please reach out to Ms. Bernardo for assistance at bernardoj@casdschools.org.
PickUp Patrol provides you with a convenient way to make changes to your child’s dismissal plans and helps ensure that students are accurately dismissed each day.
How It Works:
Your child’s regular dismissal plan will be entered into the system. This is called their Default Plan.
Whenever your child is doing something other than their Default Plan, you’ll submit a Plan Change via PickUp Patrol.
Examples of a Plan Change:
- Your child has a doctor's appointment and will be leaving early.
- Your child normally rides the bus, but is getting picked up today.
- Your child is getting picked up by someone other than yourself.
REGISTER: Registration emails from PickUp Patrol went out with a link to set up your account. The parent portal is free to parents and can be accessed from your phone or computer. The link in your registration email will be live for 48 hours. As soon as you receive it, please log in and confirm your child’s default plan. If you did not receive your link, please contact Ms. Bernardo at bernardoj@casdschools.org or by calling the main office at 610-383-3765.
If you have any questions, please first check the PickUp Patrol Parent Guide & if you need additional assistance, let us know. If you do not see an email from PickUp Patrol, please check your HAC account to make sure we have the updated email.
PBIS Corner
PBIS Kick Off
Last week we kicked off our PBIS SOAR program with a fun assembly! Students revisited what it means to show Safety, Ownership, Acceptance, and Respect and discovered our exciting SOAR Cart, where they can use their Dojo points to buy fun items or save up for special experiences right here at school.
To celebrate, every student made a SOAR bracelet—and our older students teamed up with younger classes to help them create theirs. It was a wonderful way to build community and show that we are one family, working together to help every EF student fly higher.
Ask your child to show you their bracelet and share how they plan to earn and use their Dojo points this year.
Thank you for supporting our SOAR journey and helping our students SOAR Higher!
Parent Communication
Your input helps our students SOAR! Use the QR code to complete a brief survey and let us know how our PBIS SOAR expectations are working for your family.
