Dear School Families,

At our school, the safety of our students, faculty, and families is always our top priority. Due to the forecasted storm and in an abundance of caution, we have decided to postpone our Annual Tech Run originally scheduled for this Friday, April 10.

While we are disappointed to delay the fun, we want to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone involved. Please note the following updates regarding the rescheduled event:

New Event Details

  • New Date: Friday, April 17, 2026

  • Time: 8:30 AM – 10:45 AM (approx.)

T-Shirt Distribution:

If you pre-ordered a Tech Run T-shirt, those will still be distributed on Wednesday, April 15. They will either be sent home in your child’s backpack or made available via Will Call.

Family Run Registration:

We understand that this date change may affect those of you registered for the Family Run. We have a few options available for those who can no longer participate:

  • Please keep an eye out for a separate email from Ms. Mahoney, which will outline the next steps and options for registered families.

Thank you for your incredible flexibility and understanding as we navigate these weather-related changes. We look forward to seeing everyone on the track next week!

🏃‍♂️ Volunteers Needed: Hapalua Half-Marathon Parking! 🏃‍♀️

The Hapalua Half-Marathon is right around the corner on Sunday morning April 12, 2026, and Waikiki School is joining the action! The race organizers will make a generous donation to the Waikiki School PTO to utilize our Front Lot and Leahi Field for volunteer and participant parking.

Why this is a "Win-Win" Fundraiser: This is one of our favorite ways to raise funds because it does not financially tax our school families. Instead of asking for donations, we are only asking for your time. However, to keep these types of effortless fundraisers coming, having volunteers is absolutely vital. We don't need to collect any money—we just need friendly faces to help park cars in an orderly and safe manner!

Note: Since we are managing two locations (Front Lot and Leahi Field), we need a solid team for each shift to ensure everything stays safe and organized.

Thank you for giving your time to support the Waikiki School PTO!
