News and Notes

Mid-November is officially here!

And with a nine-day break and Thanksgiving on the horizon, I wanted to bring a few key items front and center as we wrap up this week and head into a well-deserved recharge.

What does this mean for RHHS?

When we return, we’ll jump straight into December and the start of EOC Assessments for students in Algebra, Biology, ELA II, and U.S. History. While not every student tests at the same time, this season gives Wildcats a chance to show what they know and demonstrate the growth they’ve earned since August. For everyone else, December marks the push toward culminating units, final projects, and the closing stretch of the drill we began together this school year.

A quick note for both students and families:

Now is the perfect time to review PowerSchool—check for missing assignments, incomplete assessments, or projects that still have that pesky “missing” mark. I remind teachers often that grades are one of our strongest communication tools about what a student knows and can do—but that communication only works if we’re checking in consistently at home. A quick review now can prevent a scramble later.

In Other Exciting News…

This week’s newsletter is packed—and I mean packed—with opportunities for every Wildcat and family member:

  • End-Of-Course Dates
  • Winter Formal Registration
  • Fine Arts Events galore
  • Senior Webpage updates you don’t want to miss
  • Yearbook purchases (trust me, you’ll want this one when you’re reminiscing in 30 years.)
  • Wildcat Robotics Food Drive supporting our community
  • Upcoming 5K events—great for the heart, mind, and body

There is truly something for everyone in the RHHS community to enjoy, support, or engage with.

See ya, Love ya, Bye!

EOC Testing Information EOC Testing Information

Upon our return from Thanksgiving Break, we will begin End of Course (EOC) testing for our semester-long courses: Lit & Comp II, Biology, Algebra I, and U.S. History.

Below you will find the specific testing dates for each subject, along with the adjusted bell schedule that will be followed on those days.

Dec 1-3 Lit & Comp II Bell Schedule

Dec 8 / 9 ALG 1 Bell Schedule

Please remember: Students who are testing are not allowed to be checked out of school until assessments are completed. Early check-outs disrupt the testing environment and may invalidate scores.

Thank you for your support in ensuring a smooth and successful testing experience for all of our students!

Car-rider/parent drop-off information - Click Here

  • If you are dropping off a car rider, please stay in the right lane and keep the left lane open when entering the round-a-bout for our student drivers.
  • When dropping your child off in the morning and when picking them up in the afternoon, we kindly ask that you pull all the way down to the sidewalk right before the student parking lot B entry and ensure that your child is ready to unload as soon as you stop. This will allow for us to clear Belfast Keller and keep traffic rolling. Is it further than curbside drop-off? Yes. Is it going to allow for more cars to drop off at once? Yes. Is it a safe alternative? Absolutely. We appreciate you working with us so we can clear the car line in a timely fashion.
  • If I arrive with my child prior to the 7am opening of school can they disembark from the car? Yes. We would appreciate you going ahead and letting them out. They are welcome to wait outside in the front of the school or step into the air conditioned foyer of the building prior to all-staff arrival.
