Less than a month until the start of spring! As we look forward to more sunshine, we cannot forget to focus on performance in the classroom. Junior year is important, and the spring is full of activities inside and outside of the classroom. Read on for an opportunity to learn about SAT and ACT changes, explore new scholarships , a return to visitors to the counseling office, and a PHS graduate advocating for a career in Medical Laboratory Science!

New Regional Scholarships
Now is a prime time to search for local scholarships. See below for 2 great opportunities that are also posted in Schoology!
Also, if you haven't filed your FAFSA yet, it's not too late. Facing challenges with completing it? See FAFSA Issue Alerts | Knowledge Center. 💡Understanding College Entrance Exam Requirements ✅
A big thank you to our friends at Revolution Prep for their presentation on February 19th entitled Navigating the Critical Changes is Admissions Testing!
They took the time to provide PHS families with detailed information about the changes in testing requirements for college admissions and explain the nuanced definition of 'test optional'. All registrants will have a copy of the presentation emailed to them. It is also linked in the Counseling Schoology course.
We encourage students to take advantage of the free test prep for the SATs available through Khan Academy which can be linked through the Bluebook app!
