Monday Morning Bulletin

It is amazing how much information Mrs. Haag has been able to organize and share with us, and she is still always available to help when needed. She is a treasure and I feel like there must actually be three of her!

• We just wrapped up another exceptional week of school. Thank you for always going the extra mile - not only to support kids, but to support your colleagues as well.
• August 30th - Just a reminder that PD requests and the GHS Hyperdoc quizzes/tasks are due by August 30th.
• MLP Update - ILAPs cannot be sent out yet due to an issue with the Ellevation program. This is a district-wide issue that we hope will be resolved soon. In the meantime, please reach out to one of our MLP teachers if you have any questions about MLs or accommodations: Lei Williams, Marie Girault, or Lindsay Zika.
• Duty - It's Duty Week 4 next week - duty is another opportunity for me to say thank you for diligently covering your duty. I know it's not the most exciting part of the job by any means, but its critical for student safety and helps our school run smoothly.
• Smart Pass Data - For the dates of August 19-22 (Monday – Thursday). Click here to view.
• Social Media Accounts - Attention teachers, coaches, club sponsors: If your club/team/class has a social media account, please add it to this Google Sheet. We will be posting a QR code for students and staff to scan in order to see the current accounts and keep up with all that is happening in our school! It would also be great if we could all follow each other's accounts in a show of support. Enter your information here: DIRECTORY.
• Clubs - The following clubs are in search of a co-sponsor to assist with the operation of the club: Step Team, Beta Club. Please email Dr. Sterling if you are willing to assist one of these clubs.
• Raptor Training - There will be mandatory Raptor training for ALL staff on Oct. 3rd during the first half of planning periods. There will be a 2nd mandatory training for Oct 10th for teachers and admin only during the first half of planning periods. Schedule, details and logistics will come from Dr. Sterling.
• HHC - Get your Hispanic Heritage Club t-shirt in time for Hispanic Heritage month! We have sizes S, M, L, and XL, and XXL. They are $20 and can be purchased with cash or check from Lindsay Zika or Hilary Stevens. The shirt can be viewed here.
• Safety Training Videos - Complete all Safety Training Videos by Sept. 30th. If you have questions contact Dr. Sterling.
• Professional Development Requests - Please use the PDF linked here to fill out any professional development requests. This is due to Blair Haag by August 30th.

Here is a list of the personal days (and comp days for classified staff) closed for this year. This happens when a date has been requested by too many staff for the school to function smoothly, or in particular situations when subs will be scarce because of high demand like before and after holidays. If anyone has in writing approval of a day already from me, this list does not impact that approval. Exceptions are almost always made for weddings, graduations etc... If you are absent unexpectedly due to illness on any of these days please be prepared to provide a doctor's note upon request.
