For just $20, students will receive a game ticket, pizza, a drink, and an afternoon of fun with friends! This is a wonderful opportunity for students to enjoy time together, show their school spirit, and support our Bulldogs.
Tickets are available for purchase online using the link below or in person from Dr. Dawson in the mornings with cash or check.
We encourage students to wear pink and join us for a fun-filled afternoon as we come together to support our Bulldogs! We look forward to seeing everyone at the Pink Out Tailgate!
NEW Calendar Survey for SY28 and SY29
The school system is releasing a second survey for proposed academic calendars, as the Board prepares to adopt new calendars for the 2027-28 and 2028-29 school years this November.
Following extensive public feedback from the first calendar survey, the school system is releasing this second survey to gather additional public input on an alternate version of school calendars that includes a a week-long Fall Break in October, as opposed to the current long-weekend Fall Break. This survey proposes a third calendar option for review, and feedback.

Character Education Word of the Week: Punctual
This week, our character education focus is Punctual. Being punctual means arriving on time, being prepared, and demonstrating respect for the time of others. At Bass Middle School, we encourage our Bulldogs to develop habits that will help them succeed both in school and beyond. Arriving to class on time, using transitions appropriately, and being ready to learn are simple ways students demonstrate responsibility and leadership. Punctuality also supports school safety by helping students remain where they are expected to be throughout the day. By developing these positive habits, our students demonstrate what it means to be Brave, Optimistic, Leaders, and Determined as we continue Building Outstanding Leaders Daily.
Helping Our Bulldogs Navigate the Digital World
Technology is an important part of how our Bulldogs learn, communicate, and connect with others. While the digital world offers endless opportunities, it also challenges students to develop essential skills such as critical thinking, empathy, responsible decision-making, and meaningful face-to-face communication.
As we celebrate Media Literacy Week, we encourage our Bulldog families to join us in helping students build healthy digital habits. Whether it's discussing what they see online, recognizing misinformation, balancing screen time, or practicing kindness on social media, small conversations at home can make a BIG difference! Together, we can empower our Bulldogs to be Respectful, Responsible, and Resilient digital citizens who are prepared to navigate an ever-changing world.
Strong Digital Habits Start with Strong Partnerships! We hope you will make plans to join us on Tuesday, October 27th at 5:00 PM in the cafeteria as Special Agent Cassidy Tarpley from the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office Crime Suppression Unit leads an information session on Internet Safety that you don’t want to miss! Please RSVP on the Google Form.

BTG 2026 Christmas in Coweta Program
This program is centered around helping Coweta County families, due to circumstances, provide Christmas gifts to their children 18 and younger. Families can apply starting 10/1/2026.
Backpack Buddies
Backpack Buddies is a non-profit organization that provides a little extra food on the weekend for students in Coweta County. Backpack Buddies supplies students with nutritious, self-serve food that will sustain them when school meals are not available. Four times a year, when students are out for longer school breaks, Backpack Buddies sends home a larger bag of food to help them during that extended break from school.
The Backpack Buddies program is essential to help relieve hunger, which in turn will improve grades, health, school attendance and self-esteem in these children. If you are interested in signing your student up for the Backpack Buddies program, fill out the attached form and sign giving Backpack Buddies permission to send food home every Friday with your student.

Peer Mentoring Program: Building Leaders, One Friendship at a Time!
The Blake Bass Middle School Peer Mentoring Program is officially underway! Our 8th-grade peer mentors have been paired with 6th-grade mentees to build positive relationships through meaningful conversations, team-building activities, and games. This program promotes leadership, kindness, communication, and friendship while helping our younger Bulldogs feel connected and supported.
Help Support Our Peer Mentors!
We have created an Amazon Wish List filled with games and activities to help our mentors and mentees connect and build lasting friendships. Families who would like to support the program are invited to purchase an item from our wish list. Every contribution is greatly appreciated!

Cell phones and smart watches may not be used during the instructional day and must be on silent and put away in student's backpacks at all times. Backpacks will be placed in lockers each morning until the end of the day. Students are permitted to use the designated student phone located in the office during school hours for emergencies or for illness. Students should not use a cell phone or smartwatch to call home or text when sick. Any student who is ill should go through the Bass clinic. The school nurse will call parents directly.
