Dear Families,

We had a FANTASTIC first two days at the nest! It was wonderful to see "Olive" our students' smiling faces back in the building. There is nothing like first-day-of-school energy! As we enter our first full-week of school we have a few reminders/requests.

Please do not send glass containers to school in lunches.
Please do not park in the loading zone. An adult needs to remain in the drivers seat in order to pull forward.
Please do not cross Olive Street except at the cross-walk with Ms. Vicki. It may take an extra couple of seconds; however, it helps teach our students how to safely cross the street.

ADDITIONAL REMINDER:

Student Drop-off and Pick-up Prohibited signs are posted along Belmont, Clarendon, Pine Avenue and Olive Street between Arlington Heights Road and Douglas Street. Please respect the village ordinances and our neighbors who live on these streets.

We hope to see you this evening at the PTA Back to School Bash! 5:30 - 7:30 on the OMS Playground.

If you haven't already, please consider joining the ABC 25 Foundation. If 25 percent of OMS families join, we are automatically granted $2500! Last year we used these funds to add some messaging to our walls. In years past we purchased flexible furniture for one of our multi-purpose classrooms, picnic tables and umbrellas for our courtyards, and sensory objects for our hallway calm carts.

Did you know that one membership counts for multiple D25 schools? If you have a child at OMS and TMS, you only need to join once!
