The WSD Board of Education held a meeting on Thursday, Sept. 19, that was live-streamed via theWSD Board of Education YouTube channel and can be viewed by visiting YouTube. The agenda and available supporting documents can be viewed online under Diligent Community. Below are some highlights.

Policies 4120, 4210, 4322, 4140 - First Read
The Board reviewed the following policies for their first reading. Several of these policies were previously reviewed by the Board but came back as a first read due to revisions.
The Board discussed gathering historical data on 1300 and 1301 filings in the District.
Tax Rate Approval
The Board approved the proposed tax rates,as presented. The approved tax rate will continue to be the lowest rate the District has had in more than 10 years.
Timberland High School's Matt Litzsinger, sports field groundskeeper, was awarded the National High School Baseball Coach Associations' 2024 Field of the Year for Region 5. Congratulations and thank you to the THS baseball team and Coach Andy Zerr for their role in keeping the field in top shape!
The next regularly scheduled Board meeting is set for Oct. 24, 2024.
