VibeCamp, happening June 13-16 at Ramblewood, in Darlington, Maryland, is an emergent community in its third year that gathers for a long weekend of conversations, workshops, special events, dance parties, and all the rest. I attended VibEclipse in Austin, and was pleasantly surprised to find a Contact Improv gathering happening there! Attendees come mostly from loose connection of networks on twitter, including the 'tpot' community. I was especially glad to find the list of growth modalities created by Christine of this community. Attendees include Rationalists, Burners, Effective Altruists, Lurkers, and people who had never heard of any of those things.

Camp Contact is excited to join in the festivities this year, and VibeCamp has been kind enough to offer us 15% off standard fess. To get discounted tickets, register and pay directly on the Camp Contact site. Soon after you have sent in funds for your ticket, your VibeCamp ticket will be available at my.vibe.camp. There are no camp dues for VibeCamp; all meals and infrastructure is covered with your ticket price. Camp Contact will have its own area to set up tents and do car camping, and we'll also have a cabin for an additional fee, We will be bringing our Steam Bath and Sound Systems to share!

Registration is now open for Camp Contact at Burning Man 2024! We are currently working to build out Camp Contact's organizational structure and set intentions for our time in the dust. We understand that many of you don't know your plans and that life is more uncertain than ever, and we welcome your application and statement of interest now, even if you're on the fence! We will do less and take on less this year, as well as being a smaller camp of 150 people, and focusing on building our Contact Improvisation offerings and continue offering Authentic Relating workshops. Cold Yogis will be a separate camp from us this year, and Metamodern Magicians may share some infrastructure depending on their size, I'm hopeful they grow well this year and build their own kitchen!

Camp Contact Charter Bus

We again will have our Camp Contact Charter Bus coming in on Saturday, August 24th directly to Camp and departing on Tuesday of Strike. Get the party started early and leave playa in style!

Camp Contact will be attending Playa Del Fuego! We are having our planning meeting on Tuesday, May 14th at GlowHouse or Online. For anyone who might have tickets, we have campers seeking them, please let us know.

Quink will not be happening in 2024 due to the large brush fire that ripped through Twin Oaks outdoor conference center, However, a number of people have said they wish to come and help with the fire clean up and reconstruction of the kitchen and other structures at the Twin Oaks Conference site. This build camp will be a camping event, without any ticket cost. Folks interested in helping with this work or setting up the large dome Camp Contact has generously loaned for which will be used for events later in the summer, should feel encouraged to come. If you are interested in more information about this event, or to let us know you are thinking of coming please write to buildcamp@twinoaks.org or call 541-505-0803.

Camp Contact is setting up at Transformus! Registration for camp is open! Transformus has a new home in Westfield, NC North Carolina, just a few miles south of the Virginia border.

Camp Contact will be going to its first international event in Portugal, September 11-15 for Gathering of Tribes! We will provide a shelter to host events in, and there is a shared kitchen on site. The purpose of the Gathering of Tribes is to strengthen the regenerative ecosystem, its tribes and the connections between them by creating a time to gather in nature, celebrate, building a culture of meaningful dialogue, mutual learning, peer support and connecting for action. Humanity is in the depth of a metacrisis, on the verge of a great transformation. Where do we want this transformation to take us? The tribes, -- companies, communities, villages, DAOs, of the regenerative ecosystem are building a new society, a new relationship to the Earth. How can we support their growth and scale their impact? This event also doesn't have any additional dues, only the ticket price. Please sign up for camp and follow the instructioons on the site.

We're getting ready for another Container to the Playa in 2024 thanks to support from our trusty driver Rusty, our Container coordinator Jessica, and a great load in location that we hope to return to! We are hoping to coordinate drop of points in Richmond and Philly again, using our other trailers to move gear from these locations to the main drop off point, please reach out to container@campcontact.org if you can help! Here's our Facebook Event!

Our existing Logo has served us well since 2010 or so when Whit created it for us! I'm thinking we would do well to create something new that expands our presence beyond Burning Man, and dials in our dedication to our principles and to the culture described above. Here are a few designs that emerged from some AI I engaged. I welcome offerings of logo proposals and support around selecting a new logo for Camp Contact! Please reach out! Here are six candidates from DALL-E, an app from OpenAI. This AI is not good at text in images, disregard the errors in the text, we'll fix those later. Please send feedback about the art and brand imagery in these possibilities via email or via telegram to @dduane on these.

Camp Contact creates transformational workshops that bring embodiment, awareness, sensitivity and inspiration and offers them at burns! And, we work together to understand and grow in our relationships. This camp is an ever growing network of amazing humans. We are so grateful that, at each event, bonds are foraged and/or deepened. You put the connection into Contact. Thank you for being you! We look forward to dancing with you from the Eclipsing Sun to the Dust.
