This week we have noticed a few things. First, everyone has walked back in ready to go! Kids are working hard already learning so many things. Middle school ELA classes have already completed their first project, 4th graders have visited our new and improved science lab, and 1st and 2nd graders have been working hard on making 10s in all types of ways. This is great!
One thing that has changed: the amount of students coming in late. We start school at 7:30. This means your child's teacher is starting instruction at 7:30. We have many kids coming in at 7:30 and going to breakfast. This is okay. We want them fed. However, if your kiddo needs breakfast, PLEASE have them at school before 7:20 so they have time to eat and get to class. Again, we will make sure they are all fed and I understand that things happen. We are asking you all to work with us so we can maximize the time we have to teach the students.
MCMS Sports! Volleyball starts this week with our first home game vs Central. Our football team will play in the jamboree at Buckhorn Thursday night. MCHS will play their first game of the season this Friday at home vs Boaz. The theme is Luau so be sure to wear all your best Luau gear to school Friday.
School pictures will be Monday, August 25. All the information for purchase and viewing proofs can be found here. If you have a change of transportation for your student, email it to mcesfrontdesk@mcssk12.org. Please remember that we will welcome lunch visitors after Labor day. We want to ensure students have the procedures and timings down before we add more people.
