WingateElementary June 2025

Wingate Families-

What a fabulous school year! We hope you and your child enjoyed their year as much as we did. It is amazing to see students grow so much over the course of the school year. We appreciate your continued support and couldn't do our jobs well without you, as parents, supporting us and helping to grow your children.

Travel Pictures-next year our theme is going to be "Around the World". The main bulletin board inside Door 15 will be decorated with staff and student pictures of places they travel this summer. Please snap some pictures of your child when you travel this summer and email them to me at enriquezk@msd19.org. I'll print these and get them on the board for the start of the school year.

Each May I also create and share a parent survey for parents to complete for us as a staff. The link for the survey is below. I'll keep it open until June 15th. Thanks for sharing your feedback.

Have a great summer! Please reach out if you need anything. We look forward to seeing most of you again next year. Thanks, as always, for sharing your children with us!

Positive Office Referrals for Students- Positive Office Referrals for Students-

zoom_out_map

Any adult in the building can submit a positive office referral for any student. Students are visited in the classroom by Mrs. Enriquez or Mr. Reed and celebrated. We bring them to the office and do a positive phone call home to share the great news with parents and then each student gets a pass for a free ice cream at lunch or a token for a free book from our new Book Vending Machine. The positive office referral is printed and sent home with the student so families can see it. Congratulations to the following students who have earned a Positive Office Referrals this month-

Brooks Bradford-1st Grade-Brooks was so kind during the homerun derby at Field Day. There was a student who was very upset that he was not going to bat. Brooks offered his spot to the student and waited a round. He did this all on his own, and it made the others student's day at that station.

Cam Martin-5th Grade-Cam came out to help us with the homerun derby with the K-2 students. He was happy, jumped right in and worked really hard to make it enjoyable for the littles. He was kind, patient and would help them when needed. Cam was an amazing help!

Larry Redenius-5th Grade-Larry came out to help us at the homerun derby during Field Day for the K-2 students. He was an amazing help. Larry helped in any way that was asked and made it more enjoyable for the littles.

Salem Cantu-5th Grade-During Extended Time I had a Kindergartner who was leaving, he was upset and said he had left his water bottle on the playground. After school hours the playgrounds are open to the public, Salem was down there with other friends. He asked what I was looking for and ran over to the newer playground, leaving his friends on the old playground swing set, and helped search for the water bottle. He found it and ran it over to me. He did not have to ask if I needed help, and he did not have to leave his friends to help me.

Bryson Hutchinson-1st Grade-During P.E class today, where I was subbing, a classmate had fallen outside and was covered in grass. Bryson helped the student walk over to me and while the student was telling me what happened, Bryson was removing the grass from the other students' hair and clothes. Bryson, what a great way to show being respectful and responsible! You were a great classmate and friend!!

Eli Fangmeyer-Kindergarten-We played bingo in class and Eli won a couple prizes from the game. When the game was over one of his classmates was very upset he didn't win. Eli gave that child one of his prizes to help that child feel better. I loved the way he did it on his own and it just shows his compassion for others. Thank you Eli for being such a great friend!

Miles Ehret-5th Grade-Miles consistently demonstrates responsibility in the classroom by staying on task and setting a positive example for his peers. He goes above and beyond by helping keep our classroom clean, even when no one is watching. His quiet leadership and integrity make a meaningful impact on our classroom community.

Jaxon Davis-4th Grade-Jaxon has been working so hard in his classes. He is doing a great job with a part in a Drama in ELA and even tried out for the Spelling Bee. Keep up the good work, Jaxon. We are so proud of you!
