We Are Wolves!
Hello, Wolf Families!
I hope everyone had restful break with friends and family, filled with gratitude. We only have three weeks left in the 1st semester! I can't believe how quickly this school year is going by. It is so important during this time for students to know their grades and ensure they are passing their classes at the semester. If they are struggling, they need to come for tutorials before or after school. Every teacher has tutorials and is willing to work with their students.
Parents you can access their grades online via the Canvas Backpack. Here is the video how to do this, if you are not sure how.

These next three weeks are filled with Jingle Fest, Winter Concerts, basketball games, and lots of other opportunities to showcase what our Wolves are doing on campus. We hope to see everyone at these events. We love to see you and our future Wolves!
Lastly, we continue to push our attendance. Our goal each day is 95% in attendance. Thank-you for prioritizing your child's education and ensuring they arrive at school at 8:45 am each morning. Breakfast is served at 8:30 am and doors open at 8:20 am. If your child is ever absent, please make sure to give the doctor's note or written excuse to Ms. Lopez within 10 days.
Thank-you for your continued support and involvement in our school community. Wishing you and your family a joyful holiday season and a happy new year!

Wolf Pack Reads for December
As the holiday season approaches, we are thrilled to continue our Wolfpack Reads Monthly Program here at Cunningham Middle School! This initiative inspires students to develop a lifelong love of reading while honing essential academic skills.
π Wolfpack Reads β December Update! βοΈ
Our December Wolfpack Reads question is here!
Students will respond to one of the following prompts based on the book they are reading:
β¨ Fiction Prompt:
Based on the first three chapters of your book, what inferences can be made about the main character? Support your answer with evidence from the story.
π Non-Fiction Prompt:
What is one key idea from your book? Identify one detail that supports this key idea. Support your answer with evidence from the text.
As always, students must use the RACES strategy when responding. All participants will receive an incentive, and three grand prize winners (one from each grade level) will be selected at the end of the month!
π Important Reminders
Please remind students to carry their library books with them every day. Many students are forgetting their books, and independent reading is required weekly in all classes.
Teachers may also allow students to turn in their library books during independent reading time.
Students also need to bring their library books in case their class is scheduled for Library Dayβthis helps us keep circulation running smoothly and ensures students can check out a new book when ready.
