The Coaches Corner
IMESD/OTREN Regional Coaches Huddle - 4/20/23
Good morning coaches!
It's testing season- and as we know that can be extra stressful for students, teachers, and coaches. And when we are stressed we are not as careful with what we say. Our coaching resource is a podcast on how our words influence teachers, with a focus on how to use language to move teachers past barriers.
Our "share with teachers" resource is a trashketball review game that can be modified for any grade level or content area- it could be a fun way to review a variety of topics.
We are also looking forward to seeing you next Friday, April 28, for our Coaches Huddle from 2:00pm-3:30pm. This huddle meeting will be hybrid- you can choose to join us at the Pendleton IMESD in the Juniper room or via zoom. Michelle Harris, from the Instructional Coaching Group, will be facilitating. She plans to discuss direct coaching for struggling or new teachers and share some tried and true strategies that everyone should have in their playbooks. We hope you can join us!
Warmest Regards,
Ayla, Beth, & Jennifer
