Madison Elementary School Update

This week, students in grades 3-5 will begin taking the Michigan Student Test of Educational Progress (M-STEP), a 21st Century computer-based assessment designed to gauge how well students are mastering state standards. These standards, developed for educators by educators, broadly outline what students should know and be able to do in order to be prepared to enter the workplace, career education training, and college. When combined with classroom work, report cards, local district assessments and other tools, M-STEP results offer a comprehensive view of student progress and achievement.

We encourage you to support your child in giving their best effort. We use this data to drive curriculum and instruction planning. We want a true understanding of the standards your child has mastered so we can better serve them. The schedule is as follows:

TUE APR 14 - ELA (3-5)

THU APR 16 - SCIENCE (5)

TUE APR 21 - MATH (3-5)

THU APR 23 - SS (5)

Monday, June 1st - 10AM - Madison Performing Arts Center

Please limit the number of guests coming for each student. Teachers will have sign out sheets and students will have their belongings to leave from the PAC if you choose to celebrate the rest of the day with them. Students can dress up!

As we get closer, a link will be shared so you or family who can't attend will be able to watch a live stream of the event

KG Registration

Free Breakfast for ALL 3rd, 4th, and 5th Graders

Where: High School Cafeteria

When: 8:10 - 8:30 Monday - Friday

What:

Mondays- Assorted WG Cereals, WG Bagels, WG Muffins
Tuesdays-Assorted WG Breakfast Pizzas
Wednesdays- Sausage Gravy on WG Biscuit
Thursdays- Scrambled Eggs, Cheese Omelet, Sausage, WG Biscuit
Fridays- French Toast or Pancakes
Also other daily offerings include, Assorted WG Cereals, WG Cereal Bars, WG Pop Tarts, WG Bagels, WG Muffins.

These offerings may not all be available every day. Every breakfast includes milk. Students MUST take three different breakfast items per meal. One item HAS to be Fruit or Juice. Example….Cereal, Juice and Milk. Or WG Muffin, Fruit cup, and Milk.
