π Capturing Kidsβ Hearts β March Focus
March is all about strengthening relationships and reinforcing the values that help our students thrive β both in the classroom and beyond.
This month, we are focusing on:
βοΈ Responsibility
βοΈ Positive choices
βοΈ Encouraging one another
βοΈ Finishing strong before spring break
Teachers are continuing to build strong classroom communities through daily check-ins, affirmations, and relationship-building strategies. When students feel connected and supported, they perform better academically and socially.
You can support this at home by asking:
-
βWhat was something positive that happened today?β
-
βHow did you show responsibility this week?β
-
βWho did you encourage today?β
Thank you for partnering with us to grow not only strong learners β but strong leaders. π

Destinee You
Destinee You has big goals and an even bigger heart for students.
After graduation, Destinee plans to attend McLennan Community College to pursue a degree in education. Her dream is to become an elementary school teacher β a goal she has held onto since she was little. She hopes to create a classroom that is both structured and engaging, where students feel supported, challenged, and valued every single day.
Destinee has mapped out a clear plan for her future. She is determined to complete her degree and begin her teaching career by the age of 22 or 23. Along the way, she plans to stay focused on her academics, pay off her vehicle, and continue building financial independence.
One of her long-term goals is to purchase her own home before turning 30.
She understands that reaching those goals will take discipline and sacrifice. For now, she is choosing to focus on education and stability, knowing that a strong foundation today will open doors tomorrow.
Destinee is motivated by her desire to build a successful career and make her family proud. They are her greatest supporters, and she carries their encouragement with her as she prepares for this next chapter.
Meridian High School is proud of you, Destinee. Your future students are going to be blessed to have you in their classroom. ππ
