Dr. CrispElementary School 2025-2026 School Year

Notes from Mrs. Hussey

Dear Dr. Crisp Families,

Welcome to the 2025–2026 school year! I am thrilled to welcome back our returning students and families, as well as extend a warm greeting to those who are new to the Dr. Crisp Elementary School community. Whether you are returning or joining us for the first time, we are so excited to partner with you in helping your child grow, learn, and thrive.

At Dr. Crisp, our school norms [Be Here, Be Safe, Be Honest] guide all that we do. These values create a strong foundation for building a safe, welcoming, and respectful learning environment where every student is known, supported, and challenged to do their best.

This year, we continue to work together toward shared school goals that will help all students reach their fullest potential. As a Comprehensive Support and Improvement (CSI) school, we are committed to providing direct and explicit evidence-based instruction in both math and literacy across all grade levels.

Our school-wide goals for the 2025–2026 school year include:

  • Math: At least 20% of students in all grades will meet grade-level proficiency in math as measured by the NHSAS (Grades 3–5) and End of Module Assessments (Grades K–5).

  • ELA: At least 45% of students in all grades will meet grade-level proficiency in English Language Arts as measured by the NHSAS (Grades 3–5) and DIBELS mCLASS Benchmarking Assessments (Grades K–5).

  • School Culture & Climate: We are committed to fostering a strong culture of partnership among staff, students, and families—one that believes in the potential of every learner and promotes a shared commitment to growth mindset and high expectations. Our progress will be measured by a 20% reduction in classroom disruptions, an 80% staff survey response rate, and a 30% family survey response rate focused on school culture and climate.

The work ahead will take collaboration, dedication, and trust, and I believe deeply in our ability to achieve great things together. We are here to support you and your child every step of the way and look forward to an exciting, productive, and joyful school year.

Thank you for being a part of our Dr. Crisp community. Here’s to a fantastic 2025–2026 school year!

With gratitude,
Colleen Hussey
