2nd GradeNewsletter October 14-17

We’ve been having so much fun in 2nd grade!

In Math, we wrapped up our unit on Place Value, Comparing Numbers, and Number Lines with some awesome game show fun—including Jeopardy, Hollywood Squares, and Family Feud! Our super second graders showed off all they’ve learned on their very first Math Summative of the year!

In Reading, we’ve been learning all about external and internal character traits and using text evidence to support our thinking. Our little bakers also whipped up some sweet “Synonym Rolls” as we practiced synonyms and antonyms—a fun and memorable way to grow our vocabulary!

In Science, students have been busy conducting investigations with pushes and pulls, exploring how forces make objects move in different ways.

We’ve also had a blast participating in all the fun dress-up days this week! Thank you for all of your support in the Boosterthon!

We wish you and your family a wonderful Fall Break filled with rest, laughter, and cozy moments!

Boosterthon Fundraiser Boosterthon Fundraiser

The next few days are going to be filled with fun as we discover new worlds and work together to raise $60,000 for teacher grants, turf for the gaga ball pit, new technology, and school programs at Windsong Elementary! Every student will participate in the fun through a character-building program, event day, and school incentives. Here are a few things you can do to help us reach our big goals!

Register your student at MyBooster.com to join the fun. Search for “Windsong Elementary.”

Donate and share. We are encouraging every family to share their donation page with 10 people.

Throughout the week, our class will earn fun rewards based on how much we raise on our classroom tracker. When our class earns a reward, this adds some extra awesomeness to our day. I will keep you updated!
