Welcome to a new school year at W.T. Lewis Elementary! As we embark on this exciting journey together, I am delighted to extend a warm welcome to all our new and returning families. It is an honor to serve as your principal, and I am committed to fostering an environment where every student can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

New and returning students must complete registration. To guarantee class placement for Meet the Teacher registration must be complete by Friday, August 2nd. If you have registration questions, email Doris Moore, secretary at Doris.Moore@bossierschools.org.

If you ordered school supplies through EPI, supplies will be available for pickup at Meet The Teacher Night. There are no extra supply kits available for purchase. Click the School Supply graphic to access the supply list of each grade level.

Each student is required to pay a $21 material/technology fee. This fee covers technology, software licenses, and subscriptions for students. This fee can be paid using SchoolCash Online beginning August 1st or at Meet The Teacher Night.

If you ordered shirts during the 1st round, shirts will be available for pick up at Meet The Teacher Night. The 2nd round of sales closes on August 24th and will be delivered to the school approximately three weeks after the closing date. Click here to place your order.

We are looking forward to our school community coming together before school begins at our Bulldog Block Party on Sunday, August 4th from 7:00-8:15 PM! You will have the chance to meet the Admin Team, enjoy a performance from the W.T. Lewis Cheerleading Team, and connect with old and new friends!

The Kindergarten Team is thrilled to extend this special invitation to you for a momentous occasion in your student's life – our upcoming signing day ceremony. On Monday, August 5th, at 5:00 pm, we will be hosting a signing day event in the gym to celebrate your kindergarten student as it marks an important milestone in their life. Your kindergarten student will give their handprint on their letter of intent and a photo opportunity will be available. Additionally, the event will feature an official welcome from our principal, Mrs. Banks and our new Assistant Principal, Mrs. Founds.

Tardy Bell: 8:10 AM

Dismissal Bell: 3:10 PM

Students should wear the sticker they received at Meet the Teacher Night with their name and teacher’s name. Parents will not be permitted to walk students to class with the exception of Kindergarten parents on their scheduled staggered start day.

🚗Carline tags are required to pick up students in the carline for dismissal. If you do not have a carline tag, you can get your student and your carline tag in the office after dismissal is complete. You will need your ID.

Lewis League is a group of volunteers that support the school. The group meets once a month to discuss various topics, plan school events, and volunteer at events. All parents are encouraged to join the Lewis League.
