Ott's Outlook
June 2025
As we close out the 2024-2025 school year, I would like to thank our families and community for the way they support our students and staff. I also want to thank those students, teachers, and staff for all of their hard work and dedication to making this another successful school year for Temple ISD. We are graduating another outstanding senior class and look forward to everything they will accomplish moving forward as the newest Wildcat graduates help to “Spread The Empire.” We are celebrating successes in all of our programs, from Advanced Academics, to Athletics, to CTE, to Fine Arts, to our clubs and organizations. We are including a graphic highlighting those accomplishments, as well.
Starting the summer break not only gives us the opportunity to look back and celebrate those successes, but it also gives us the chance to look forward to what’s next for Temple ISD. We continue to see growth in the district, development of new technology that will impact teaching and learning, and new legislation that will provide additional funding for teacher pay raises.
The district has been intentional about involving our parents and families in the process as we plan for the future of Temple ISD. We hosted a series of parent meetings during the spring semester to share information with our families about upcoming facility needs, plans for enhancing safety, artificial intelligence’s role in education, and most recently a potential bond and VATRE (safety) proposal to present to the community in the fall. These meetings have been invaluable for feedback and have steered our direction as we move forward. These meetings have also provided an opportunity for our administrators to share information directly with those impacted by our decisions. We have shared the presentations from each of those meetings with our families through email. We also continue to update those meetings on our district website. If you were not able to attend the sessions, and would like to see the presentations, we have created a webpage to house all the information in one location. You can visit the following link: Future Bond and VATRE Planning – Future Bond and VATRE Planning – Temple Independent School District. The website has a schedule of the meetings, and documents available for review including: the 2025 Demographic Study, the 2024 Updated Strategic Facilities Master Plan, and the presentation materials from each of the parent meetings. We look forward to resuming those parent meetings in the coming months to continue the flow of information.
In the meantime, I hope you have a relaxing and restful summer!
Sincerely,
Bobby Ott
