As we step into August, excitement fills the air, it is Back To School season! We hope you all enjoyed a summer to remember. Our team has been hard at work planning an year ahead, filled with opportunities for all students. Our Open House events for Colon Jr/Sr High School and Colon Elementary are listed there, and below. Lastly, the next Monday Magi Messenger will go to families on Monday, August 19th, our first day of school!

Colon Elementary Principal Meet & Greet TODAY
Just a reminder that Principal Jill Braman will be at the Colon Elementary playground Monday and class lists will be available beginning at 3PM Monday. While we would love for you to come visit and meet her, class lists will remain on display outside of CES. If you miss this event, you can come check out class lists after.
We are excited to welcome our new preschool students and the requirements for GSRP have been changed so that many more families can participate.

Welcome To The Magi Team, Kelly Garber!
We are excited to introduce Ms. Garber, a member of our Leadership Team who will support K-12 Special Education and students with 504s! She has many years of experience in different educational settings and has led programs that have helped students reach their potential. Recently, Kelly worked in a role where she helped young adults with learning disabilities and autism gain important skills and find jobs. Before that, Kelly was a special education teacher at St. Lucie Public Schools in Florida. She supported students with learning disabilities, adapted lessons, and created individualized education programs (IEPs). Kelly's experience and dedication has already been a wonderful addition to our school community. Please join us in giving her a warm welcome. While she will work with students in all district buildings, her office is at Colon Elementary. She can be reached via email at kgarber@colonschools.org.
