WHS HOSA Students
Our HOSA students have been actively engaged in a variety of hands-on learning experiences this year! They have been developing teamwork and leadership skills through activities such as proper handwashing and bedmaking, participating in guest speaker sessions—including a biomedical engineer presentation and EMT demonstrations—and attending Open Lab Day at NMU.
It has been an exciting and productive year for our students as they build valuable skills and strengthen connections with their peers from NHS and IHS.
Community Resources Available
As many families continue to feel the impact of lost SNAP benefits, several local agencies have come together to provide assistance, including:
Food pantry hours and locations
Daily hot meals
School weekend food programs
DoorDash grocery delivery (eligibility required)
Holiday meals and gift programs
Utility assistance
Healthcare resources
If you or someone you know could benefit from these resources, please share the attached flyer for more information.
Student Council Food Drive
The Student Council is kicking off our annual Food Drive starting Monday, November 10th, through Tuesday, November 19th! We’re collecting non-perishable food items to help support local families in need — and it’s also a class competition! The class with the most items donated — freshmen, sophomores, juniors, or seniors — will earn the most spirit points! Teachers, may offer extra credit for donations! Let’s show our school spirit and make a difference in our community!
Bring your items starting Monday, November 11th!
New this year is the Patriot Press website where you can access the digital version. Go to

Student Handbook
We encourage both parents and students to read the student handbook carefully. It provides important information about school expectations, rules, and available resources, helping everyone understand their rights, responsibilities, and how to create a safe, respectful, and successful learning environment together. Click on the link below to access the WHS Student Handbook.
