A big thank you to our community for helping to honor Ms. Veronica this week. We have the best school secretary ever and she deserves to be celebrated!

It's hard to believe that May begins this week! There are so many fun events this month. It will be busy but make sure to take time to enjoy it. As a parent of a high school senior, it really does go SO fast! Below is the link for information regarding next year's classroom placements. It will be open for two weeks. While we don't take teacher requests, we do want to hear your voice as we get ready for next year.

Run Club started this week!

Run Club students walk every Wednesday morning before school. Each Run Club morning is weather dependent, of course. If it is raining, or the weather is unsafe for runners to participate, that day's Run Club will be cancelled. Proper cold weather attire is recommended on days it is chilly. The course is the track located behind our school. Start time is 8:00 AM sharp. We will be on the track until the school doors open. Students will track their mileage each day they participate.

School Safety

All doors are locked during the school day. If you come to school, you will be buzzed into the foyer area and office and then asked to show identification before your child is released. All visitors/volunteers in the building must report and sign in at the office. Visitors must wear a badge in the school building. All volunteers in the classroom and for field trips must have a background check on file each year. Just a reminder that if you have a felony conviction you may not volunteer in the classroom or on field trips.

Teacher of the Month

Jamie Churches', State Representative HD 27, office has a new ‘Teacher of the Month’ nomination form available on their website. As always, they wish to highlight the phenomenal educators of our district and showcase their incredible efforts in the classroom, with our students, and within the school community. I have attached the link to this email for your convenience. As they receive nominations, her team will reach out accordingly to schedule a day/time to present the award to a teacher per school month. Last year, Brittany Gurney received this award. We have so many awesome educators!
