Middle School Parent Orientation
Tohickon Middle School will host its Middle School Parent Orientation on Tuesday, February 24 at 7:00 PM. This event is designed for parents and guardians of current 5th and 6th graders from feeder schools as well as families joining from other districts. Attendees will hear from administrators, counselors, and staff about middle school and the transition from elementary school. Resources will be posted afterward for those unable to attend.
Please note that this evening is for parents and guardians only; students will have the opportunity to visit the school in April.
Sock Roll Challenge - Thank You!
A huge thank-you from the kindergarten and 3rd grade students for your donations to their buddy “Sock Roll Challenge”. With the cracker packs, granola bars and socks that were provided by your generosity, they were able to make almost 200 sock rolls to be given to those in need right in this area. Way to go, Gayman Mustangs!
Car Rider Safety Reminders:
To ensure the safety of students and staff during arrival and dismissal, it is crucial to follow school traffic procedures. Please do not pass or drive around cars stopped for loading/unloading, and fill all gaps in the car line to maintain efficiency.
Thank you for your help in keeping our car line safe!
School Closing Info and FID:
This year, we will continue to hold flexible instructional days (FIDs) after the first traditional “snow day” is used.
FIDs provide remote learning options when school buildings need to close due to weather or other emergencies. Learn more about FIDs and our general school closing procedures.
2-Hour Delay for Snow:
As we are now into the winter season...
If there is inclement weather in our forecast, then there may be a 2-hour delay. Should that occur, please plan for the following schedule:
- Grades 1-6: 10:35AM - 3:15PM
- AM Kindergarten: 10:35AM - 12:20PM
- PM Kindergarten: 1:30PM - 3:15PM
Winter Weather Reminders:
As temperatures drop, we want to remind all parents and guardians about the importance of dressing children warmly for school. The district uses a weather watch chart to determine if we can be outside for recess and the length of time we can be out. We attempt to go outside for recess as long as the chart determines it is safe for the kids to be outside.
Children should come to school prepared with warm winter clothing, including a heavy coat, gloves, a hat, and other appropriate layers.
Label... Label... Label...
As we are now into Winter and more of our students are wearing jackets and other outside winter gear, please consider labeling your child's things with his/her name.
Our "Lost and Found" area is adding sweatshirts, jackets, and hats, every day. Encourage your child to check for their missing items.
The district is continuing to offer free breakfast.
The lunch cost for the 2025-2026 school year is: $2.85
Don't forget to sign up for MySchoolBucks to add money to your student's lunch account.

- Track and review what your student is purchasing.
CBSD utilizes the online platform MySchoolBucks for school meal payments, making it easy to oversee a child's meal choices and maintain their account balance. It is important that an account is created for every student, regardless of whether they take part in school meals or not. You can access MySchoolBucks to view and/or set up an account for your student(s) here. To set up an account, you will need your child(ren)'s student identification number(s), which can be found in the Parent Portal.
