At Mathis High School, we are committed to supporting the whole student.
As part of this commitment, we are aligning our comprehensive counseling services with the CASEL Framework for Social Emotional Learning (SEL). This evidence-based approach helps foster growth in key areas such as self-awareness, self-management, responsible decision-making, relationship skills, and social awareness.

Our goal is to equip every student with the tools they need to become self-aware, self-regulating, and thoughtful decision-makers—both in and out of the classroom. Through intentional SEL integration, we aim to build a school culture that nurtures emotionally intelligent, compassionate, and capable members of society.
