โŒ› CELEBRATING THE RICH HISTORY OF EAGLE STADIUM!!

We celebrate one of the top moments in the 24-year history of EAGLE STADIUM.

We honor the legendary 2013 Argyle Eagles โ€” the first football team in school history to finish a perfect 16-0 and capture the schoolโ€™s very first State Championship. But this story began years earlier. When the seniors on that team were in 5th grade, they made a vow to each other: when they were seniors, they would win a state championship. In 2013, they kept that promise, turning a dream into destiny and writing one of the greatest chapters in Argyle history.

That remarkable season was filled with many unforgettable performances including:

๐Ÿˆ Ian Sadler rose to the moment on the biggest stage. In the state championship game, he scored touchdowns three different ways โ€” a punt return, a reception, and a run from scrimmage โ€” earning the title of State Championship MVP. During that season right here at Eagle Stadium, Ian set school records for the longest kickoff return and most points scored in a game, not once, but three different times.

๐Ÿˆ Sam Sizelove was the heart of the black swarm defense, setting school records for the most tackles in a single season and for the most tackles in a career.

๐Ÿˆ Cole Hedlund made history with his leg, setting a national record for the most field goals in a single season.

๐Ÿˆ And in that title game, Colton Hinnrichs anchored the defense and walked away as the State Championship Defensive MVP.

Together, these Eagles werenโ€™t just winners โ€” they were record-setters, history-makers, and promise-keepers. They fulfilled a vow, went undefeated, and brought home Argyleโ€™s first football state championship.

Members of the first Argyle football state championship team will be recognized on the field between the first and second quarters!
