Earlier in the year we asked for parent and community volunteers to come share and speak about their career during a designated time at our school. We had an overwhelming response and we are excited to share that we will offer our first Career Connection session on Thursday, October 16, during Power Hour. Students can sign up to hear a guest speaker who is a songwriter/producer is using AI for music effects and artwork.

Your child can sign up on the sign up sheet in the main lobby or you mail email Mr. Honeycutt if your child is interested.

At the end of the day on October 10, these are the standings....

8th grade - $870.70

7th grade - $664.75

This fundraiser continues through October 20th. Prizes will be given to the team and grade level that raise the most money. Our school goal is $2500.

This month, we join together to honor and support all those whose lives have been touched by cancer. At North Buncombe Middle School, we’re showing our support by going PINK on Friday, October 17 for our annual Pink Out Day. We encourage all students and staff to wear pink to show unity, hope, and strength as we stand with those fighting cancer and remember those we have lost.

Together, we can make a difference — Blackhawks go Pink!

We are excited to offer after school counseling for any student who might be interested. Perhaps your child is feeling stressed, anxious or just needs someone to talk to about middle school. It's a safe and confidential space, and it's FREE. This is to register your child for after school counseling at NBMS. Registration alone doesn't ensure a spot, your child's school counselor will reach out to you in the near future.
