Mukwonago Auto: Celebrating ASE Accreditation
We are proud to celebrate Mukwonago High School’s ASE Accreditation! This national accreditation is a significant accomplishment for our automotive program and, most importantly, for our students.
This achievement would not have been possible without the incredible support of our industry and business partners. We are so grateful for our partnerships with Lynch, Village Automotive, Kunes, Nissan, Ford, and WCTC. Your investment in our students and our automotive program makes a difference!
A special shoutout to Mr. Ruff, our Automotive Instructor, for his leadership, dedication, and commitment to providing students with authentic, industry-aligned learning experiences.
We also want to recognize our ASE Evaluation Team Members: Scott Hansen, Nick Bruss, Justin Hoffman, and Thomas Laurie, for their time and expertise throughout the accreditation process.
Supporting the Mukwonago Education Foundation
Mukwonago High School Welding II students are putting their skills to the test as they create beautiful fall décor that will be auctioned off through the Mukwonago Education Foundation. We love seeing our students apply their skills to create something that will benefit our school community!
Food Industry Field Trip
Our Culinary students recently headed out into the community for an industry field trip to explore the food industry! They had a busy day visiting Elegant Farmer, Antigua Real, and Pop’s Popcorn, learning more about the day-to-day operations of each business and the many opportunities within the food industry.
A big thank you to these business partners for welcoming our students, sharing their experiences, and giving them a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to run a successful food business!
Building Trades in Action
Check out our Mukwonago High School Building Trades students helping install the siding on the Concession Barn at Indianhead Park! We are excited to partner with Level Up Construction and the Village of Mukwonago on this community project and give our students the opportunity to put their skills to work on a real-world project.
Industry Partners Making an Impact
Thank you to our amazing community partner, Milwaukee Tool, for investing in our Building Trades students! Their generous donation included starter tool packs, hard hats, tool belts, additional tools, and storage for our classroom. We are grateful for their support and investment in our students!
Building Skills in Manufacturing
Students in Mr. Wienke’s Manufacturing class are putting their skills to work as they design and build their own toolboxes! Through hands-on learning, students develop problem-solving, design, and manufacturing skills while creating a project they can use for years to come.
From Idea to Business!
Our Principles of Business students are putting their entrepreneurial thinking to work as they begin building their own businesses. Students are developing a business idea and exploring everything from their target customers and competition to business functions, costs, revenue, and current business trends.
This is just the beginning! Throughout the semester, they'll continue building on their ideas and eventually turn their work into a professional business pitch deck to share with others.
We're excited to see where their ideas take them!
Fruit Fun in Intro to Culinary
Our Intro to Culinary students have been exploring the fruit unit, learning about different types of fruit, their nutritional benefits, and how to prepare and enjoy them. From practicing food prep skills to discovering new fruits, students are building their culinary knowledge one bite at a time!
VEX V5 Tug-of-War Challenge
Principles of Engineering students are putting their skills to the test in a VEX V5 tug-of-war challenge! CLICK HERE to view the video! Using only two smart motors, they design, build, and refine vehicles to generate the greatest pulling force possible. Through testing and friendly competition, students apply their understanding of simple and compound machines, energy, work, and power while using data to improve their designs.
Our students spent time in September earning their CPR Basic Life Support certification, specifically designed for medical professionals.
This certification is another example of how Mukwonago's Academy of Medical Professions prepares our students with real-world skills and industry-recognized credentials before they graduate. These students will leave high school with valuable experiences that can help them take the next step in their education and careers!
UW Milwaukee Trip for Academy of Medical Professions (AMP) Juniors
Our Academy of Medical Professions (AMP) juniors enjoyed a healthcare exploration day at UW-Milwaukee! Students toured the nursing simulation lab, explored public health research labs, and learned about careers in physical therapy, occupational therapy, and athletic training. Students were engaged, asked great questions, and gained valuable insight into healthcare careers and college opportunities.
Congratulations to Madeline, HOSA State Officer!
Madeline has accepted the role of Vice President of Membership on the Wisconsin HOSA State Student Council, a statewide leadership team comprised of just eight students!
This is believed to be the first time a Mukwonago High School HOSA student has served on the state council, making this an exciting milestone for our chapter.
We are proud of Madeline for taking on this leadership opportunity and representing MHS at the state level. Her achievement highlights the value of student involvement, initiative, and leadership as students prepare for future careers in healthcare.
Congratulations, Madeline! We look forward to seeing the impact you make!
Mukwonago Education & Teaching Academy (META)
META welcomed 18 new members following fall interviews! These students are excited to explore careers in education and gain firsthand experience in our schools. On Wednesday, November 4, students will participate in their first job-shadowing field experience at Rolling Hills Elementary and Park View Middle School, where they will learn alongside mentor teachers from across our district.
We’re excited to see these future educators begin building connections and exploring the many opportunities within the education profession!
