Academy Announcements
Dear Academy Families and Friends,
We've entered the third and final trimester of the school year with a bang! Lots of great events for our students and staff. Here are some important updates and activities from last week and the week ahead. It's time for the Academy announcements:
April is one school day ahead. With the better weather and longer night, it means more school activities are coming our way!
- Parent Teacher conferences are Tuesday and Wednesday! We want all families to attend. For those coming in for in-person conferences, be sure to check out the Art on the Wall projects from Mrs. Okie's class.
- ELA MCAS Grade 4 is on Tuesday, April 1 and Thursday, April 3 this upcoming week. Get a good night's sleep and a solid breakfast in preparation for the exams.
- MCAS Grade 3 did an amazing job, working hard and giving 110%
- Chromebooks are important tools. Be sure send them into school daily. Also remember to update them regularly. Go to settings>>click on about chrome os>> click check for updates.
- Report Cards for all students in Grades 1-5 will be published and released on Friday, April 4th in the Aspen Family Portal.
- Panda Day Update: It was amazing-please check out our pics on our Facebook Page
- 3 on 3 Basketball was the biggest tournament we've ever had with 28 teams. Special thanks to our Healthy and Wellness team for making this annual event the best one yet. We've already had teams ask to sign up for next year! Congrats to the Cavaliers who won in overtime against the Celtics One team! It was a great night for all.
- The Media Club's latest production sure is amazing! We have some pretty talented kids in our 5th grade!
- No STARs after school on Monday, March 31st. Please plan accordingly!
- Last but not least, but be sure to register your child (or spread the word) for falls incoming K classes.
Let's make April our best month yet, I hope to see each and every one of our families at conferences this week!
Mr. Higgins
Did you know???
Good weather and dismissal time safety reminder:
The good weather is heading our way. Just a reminder that students and families should avoid the driveway, roundabout island and staff parking areas at the end of the day. We want to make sure all of our buses have clear sight of students when leaving campus. Also please avoid the woods area as sticks and other things should be left where they belong and not near the playground areas. Thanks!
