It's hard to believe that we've already completed our first trimester. The new trimester starts on Monday, November 17, 2025. Please continue to encourage your children to come to school prepared, in uniform and ready to learn..

Uniform Reminder:

Per our district uniform policy, plain black or maroon sweaters, sweatshirts, or hooded sweatshirts may be worn over a collared maroon polo or dress shirt or a plain white or black undershirt. Hooded sweatshirts must be worn with the hood down.

Within School District 104, we are invested in the success of every student. Because of this, HMS is continuing to implement a multi-tiered system of academic supports this school year (MTSS). During daily WIN (What I Need) time, students requiring targeted or individualized academic supports are provided instruction through classroom teachers as well as interventionists. This is a great opportunity for our students to get the extra support they might need.

Heritage Middle School's holiday fundraiser has started, and we need your help. Our goal is to raise $5,000.00 to fund our PBIS Program.

As we head into the season of gratitude, we’re thankful for our students, families, and school community! Here are a few health reminders to help everyone enjoy a healthy and happy November.

Practice good hygiene so germs don’t ruffle your feathers: Encourage children to wash their hands before meals, after using the restroom, and after school activities. A quick wash can help keep germs away!

Lice Check Reminder: Before travel and family gatherings, please continue to “take a peek once a week” to prevent uninvited guests.

Turkey Treats & Healthy Teeth: With all the delicious goodies, remind children to brush twice a day and floss to keep their smiles bright. Limiting sticky sweets and drinking plenty of water can also help protect their teeth.

Gratitude & Wellness

Holidays can be busy and exciting. Encourage children to get plenty of sleep and take breaks when needed. Rest supports mood, focus, and overall health.
