Principal's Message

Dear Van Wert Families,

This week, our students will begin the Georgia Milestones Assessment with English Language Arts (ELA) testing over three days. We are proud of the preparation and effort our students have shown, and we are confident they are ready to do their very best.

The Georgia Milestones Assessment is an opportunity for students to demonstrate what they have learned throughout the year. While this is an important assessment, we encourage students to approach it with confidence and simply do their best.

You can support your child during testing week by:

  • Ensuring they get a good night’s sleep each evening
  • Making sure they arrive at school on time each day
  • Providing a healthy breakfast each morning
  • Encouraging a positive mindset and reducing stress
  • Avoiding scheduling appointments during testing times if possible

We will work to provide a calm, structured, and supportive testing environment so that all students can be successful. Your encouragement at home plays an important role in helping students feel confident and prepared.

Thank you for your continued support and partnership. We look forward to a smooth and successful start to testing this week.

Warm regards,

Will Zwingmann, Ed.S.

Principal
