New District Website - Navigating to Daily Parent Pick Up Form
The district has moved to a new website. With the new website there are some changes. To navigate to our daily parent pick up form, please go to the district website, click on Schools in the top right corner, then click on New Hanover, Students & Families, Student Pick Up and complete the form.
2026-2027 Kindergarten Registration
District office will be emailing kindergarten registration information for the 2026-2027 school year rather than mailing packets. You may scan the QR code on the flyer or click on the link in the flyer to have the information emailed to you.
Please feel free to share this with families you may know that have incoming kindergarten students.
Date Change: Parenting in the Modern World: Tools to Support Today’s Youth Wednesday, February 11, 5:45-8:00 PM
Raising children today comes with new challenges—and new opportunities. Join us for an engaging parent night designed to provide practical tools, resources, and guidance to support your child’s growth at every stage. Child care will be provided for school age students so that parents/guardians are free to participate in sessions of interest.
Families will have the opportunity to attend sessions focused on:
· Positive Behavior Support – strategies to support behavior at home and school
· Focus & Organization – helping children manage time, attention, and responsibilities
· Escaping Vaping – understanding risks and how to talk with children and teens
· Families & Technology – navigating screen time, social media, and digital wellness
· Supporting Early Reading – building strong literacy skills from the start
This evening is designed to be informative, supportive, and collaborative. We look forward to partnering with families as we work together to support the well-being and success of our students. This flyer will provide you with a full description and registration information for this event.
Reminder - Daily Parent Pick Up
The cut off for signing your child up for the end-of-the-day parent pick up form is 2:30 PM. If you forget and sign up after the cut off time, please call the office. Failure to do so could result in your child going home on the bus.
Also, only Parents and Guardians are to complete the parent pick up form. Other family members should not be completing the form. Thank you for your cooperation.
It's Cold Outside.....
Students will be going outside for recess unless the wind chill factor is 18° Fahrenheit or below, or it is precipitating. It is most important that all students dress warmly so that they will be comfortable when they are outdoors. This includes having students bring coats, mittens and hats.
NHUF T-Shirt Spirit Days
Thank you to the PTCA for providing every student a spirit shirt this year! Below are the dates we are asking our students to wear them along with what is planned that day.
Feb. 12 – Valentine’s Day
March 30 – Getting ready for Spring Break
April 21 – First day of PSSAs
May 28 – Taco ‘Bout a Great Year! – Walking Tacos for Lunch
June 5 – Happy last day of school!
Lost and Found
Our lost and found is overflowing! Please have your child(ren) check the lost and found located outside the all-purpose room. We also have several pairs of eyeglasses in the office.
Attendance Reporting
As a reminder, parents/guardians are required to provide written notification to the school for each day their child is not in attendance. Absences shall be treated as unlawful until the district receives a written excuse explaining the absence, to be submitted within three (3) days of the absence. The district will not change the attendance code for written notifications received after (3) three days.
Throughout the summer, Boyertown Area School District has worked to streamline the absence reporting process for all stakeholders. Parents and guardians can now complete an absence request through their Parent Portal in Infinite Campus. The Infinite Campus Absence Request feature has replaced the Google Attendance forms and can be used for absences, late arrivals, early departures, and to begin the educational trip request process. This Absence Request Video shows you how to complete the IC Absence Request process.
If you have any questions or concerns, please send an email to campusportalhelp@boyertownasd.org or contact your building's Attendance Secretary.
Thank you for your attention to this important update. We appreciate your cooperation.
Volunteering
As many of you know, Boyertown Area School District has a rich history of volunteerism. Last year, we updated our process for managing volunteers and their required clearances, etc. to include the Raptor software platform already in place throughout the district.
We strongly encourage volunteers who have expired within Raptor to update their documentation following the instructions received from Raptor. Please read the following FAQ's that may answer questions regarding your expired clearances:
- Raptor sends emails, to the email address used for the Raptor Application, at 60 days and 30 days prior to expiration. This email includes instruction to update and submit clearances.
- The same Raptor Application is completed when applying for the 1st time or updating due to expiring document(s). All 3 clearances must be uploaded with this application, even if only one document expired and the others are still within 5 years. This is one of the reasons we strongly recommend never getting rid of the original documents.
- Anyone who has previously been approved by Raptor should refer to the email they received from Raptor notifying them of their approval. In that email, Raptor provides a link and instructions to sign up for the Raptor Volunteer Portal. Once logged into the portal, they will be able to view their expiration date. However, they cannot view previously uploaded documents or upload new documents from the portal. (If their approval has expired, they will not be able to access the Raptor Portal)
- Clearances are valid for 5 years from the date they were obtained, NOT the date they were submitted.
Finally, we invite those of you who are new parents/guardians to the district, and those of you who want to become new volunteers to do so now. Doing so will ensure that you are ready to join us when volunteer opportunities of interest arise.
Avoid delays. Get started today!

Security and Sign In Procedures
In order to enter the school, all visitors are required to buzz the office by pushing the silver button located to the left of the visitor door. Once you are buzzed into the building, please report to the office to sign in and pick up a visitor or volunteer badge. Please be sure to carry photo ID with you whenever you are on school property. Deliveries of any kind (forgotten homework, birthday treats, lunches) are to be made directly to the office only, not to the classroom.
Classroom Birthday Treats
All classroom/birthday treats must be pre-packaged and store-bought with the ingredients clearly written on the label. If possible, please be sure treats are of the same type (same flavor, no icing, all icing, etc.).
For the safety of all students, DO NOT send in any nut products as there may be students in the class with nut allergies. Please read your snack labels and DO NOT send in snacks that state: "Manufactured in a factory containing nut products" or "May contain allergens".

From the Nurse's Desk
Below you will find information regarding health room procedures. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the School Nurses at 610-473-1770.
February is National Children's Dental Health Month. According to the American Dental Association, early childhood tooth decay has become the most chronic childhood disease. More than 40% of children have tooth decay by the time they reach kindergarten and children who suffer from poor oral health are three times more likely to miss school due to dental pain. Developing good habits at an early age and scheduling regular dental visits can help children to have a lifetime of healthy teeth and gums. Dental visits include an exam and thorough cleaning of the teeth, fluoride treatment, and instructions on how to brush and floss properly. Dental providers will also discuss important treatment options to help prevent decay, tooth loss and gingivitis.
How can parents/guardians help?
1. Schedule routine dental visits every six months.
2. Ensure your child is brushing their teeth for 2 minutes, flossing and using mouth wash twice per day.
3. Replace your child’s toothbrush every 3-4 months.
4. Choose healthy drinks/snacks. Fruit juice, sports drinks, fruit snacks and sticky candy can all threaten the health of your child’s teeth. Instead, give calcium-rich snacks like cheese or low-sugar yogurt.
5. Water, water, water! Water helps to rinse away any sugar or food particles that can lead to cavities.
Physical & Dental Forms: All state mandated Kindergarten and 3rd grade private dental forms and all Kindergarten private Physical Exam forms are due now. Dental screenings performed by the district dentist will be held on 2/11/26 or 2/25/26. If your child has not had a private dental exam and you would like your child to be screened by the district dentist, please call the School Nurses at 610-473-1770 by Friday, January 30, 2026. Email notifications have gone out to Kindergarten and 3rd grade students who do not have a dental exam on file.
Returning Paperwork: Please return any health room forms (Physical, Dental, Medication) via email if possible. You can scan and email the original document or email a photograph from your phone to dwilson@boyertownasd.org or ekovach@boyertownasd.org
* Change of clothing: Please keep a change of clothing in your child’s backpack, regardless of their age. Clothing can become soiled due to a bathroom accident, fall outside in the mud, or because of spilling food/drink. The health room may not have appropriately sized clothing, so if your child does have an accident of any sort, a parent will be called to bring clothing in for the child.
