All Night Grad Party

June 5 - 6 | Bedford High School

All Night Grad is happening this week and we need your help! Chaperone's are needed for the big event! This is the best party in town, a very proud tradition here in Bedford since the 1980's, and we need your help to ensure its strong future.

This is a Pay-It-Forward event because Senior parents are not allowed to chaperone the event itself. Others will chaperone when it's your senior's turn, but we need you now.

Cell Phone Policy Update Cell Phone Policy Update

Dear BHS Community,

As part of our ongoing commitment to student wellness, engagement, and academic success, we are addressing cell phone use during class time through a proposed addition to the Bedford High School Handbook. We are reaching out to seek your support in reinforcing this important focus on enhancing student learning.

In response to concerns expressed by faculty, staff, and caregivers, we introduced Cell Phone Practices at Bedford High School during the 2024–2025 school year. These practices were developed by a dedicated cell phone committee that consisted of faculty where student and administrative feedback were solicited. We also consulted with a clinical consultant. However, because the practices were not formally included in the handbook, their implementation varied across classrooms. This inconsistency created confusion and made it difficult to hold students accountable in a fair and effective manner.

As we look ahead to the 2025–2026 school year, there has been significant discussion regarding a proposed policy update (linked below) that builds on the pilot from this year. This proposal mirrors the practices we tested, but includes clearly defined consequences and outlines support structures from the main office and counseling team to ensure a consistent and supportive approach.

While multiple policy versions were considered, we prioritized a version that is both consistent and enforceable. If approved by the School Committee, the policy will be closely monitored throughout the 2025–2026 school year. Based on feedback and observed outcomes, we may recommend further adjustments for the 2026–2027 school year.

Please feel free to review the proposal below. A google form is also included for you to provide feedback. We deeply value your partnership and thank you for your continued support. Together, we can foster an environment where students are more focused, engaged, and prepared for success.

Sincerely,

Heather Galante

Principal

Community Service Hours

Community Service hours are verified weekly/bi weekly at the end of each week.

When looking at your hours make sure the date under the number of hours on your MobileServe homescreen says "All Time". Also make sure you look at the pending hours as many of your hours might be there waiting for verification.

New requests for access to MobileServe are also processed once a week, usually on Fridays.

If you submitted a form and used the app last year, you have an active account and DO NOT need to submit another form. If you forgot your password please use the password recovery on the app.

Many answers to Community Service questions can be found here on the BHS website.

Parental Consent Forms are found here.
