Students served our community members and created holiday cards for them as well! Great job to all of our students and thank you to Mr. Tom Drost, Rotary Club, for your support and help making this possible.

SMS teachers are in the process of recommending students to take the Iowa Algebra Aptitude test to determine the best middle school math placement for students and assess readiness for the rigors of an Honors math class. However, parents do have the option to request that their student take this test as well.

If your student is not currently in an honors or advanced 6th or 7th grade math class and you wish for your student to be considered for an accelerated math course, please fill in the form below.

Students who are entered into this form will be given the opportunity to test to see if they are able to be considered for this path. The test will be administered mid-January. Please finalize your request by January 4, 2024. Thank you.
