The Raiders are Area Champions for both the girls and boys track program!
Congratulations to these athletes, Coach Broom and Coach Varnado.

This is the first time since moving to 4A that we have accomplished this. Raiders Rise!

Special shout out to our trainers who go over and beyond and always do more than expected!

The Regional Track Meet on April 18-19 will be held at East Texas A&M University, Commerce, Texas.

Melanie Cook's Art 2 classes explored visual rhythm through an innovative acrylic painting unit combining graphic design principles and marketing strategy. Students analyzed how repeated shapes, color patterns, and dynamic lines create movement, applying these concepts to custom skateboard designs. The project challenged young artists to balance artistic expression with marketability, resulting in eye-catching decks that appear to glide even while stationary.

Special thanks to the Sunnyvale Education Foundation for providing materials that transform abstract concepts into hands-on learning experiences.

Hailey Gallegos, Sunnyvale Middle School Art Studio student recently competed in the State PTA Reflections contest. She earned the "Award of Merit" and a silver medal for her artwork, "Behind the Cover," pictured above. Congratulations, Hailey!

On Wednesday, April 9, Sunnyvale ISD hosted the Special Olympics Track & Field games where students showcased their athleticism, determination, and team spirit as they participated in a variety of events, from sprints to ball tosses.

Competitors enjoyed winning medals and making memories throughout the day. Their passion and perseverance inspired everyone in attendance, showcasing the true spirit of sportsmanship and camaraderie.

Thank you to students, volunteers, and staff whose tireless efforts made the Olympic Track & Field games a success. Congratulations on an outstanding day!
