PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
I hope that you all have been having a wonderful summer and are looking forward to the upcoming school year! I’m really looking forward to my second year at Westwood now that I’ve had the chance to spend time with our students, staff, and families throughout my first year. Westwood is a special place, and so much of that is because of the strong partnership between our staff and our parent community.
The support and involvement from our families truly makes a difference, and it’s clear that our students benefit from that every day. The staff here at Westwood cares deeply about kids—not just their academic growth, but who they are as people. That shared commitment between home and school sets our students up for success in a big way.
Thank you again for such a warm welcome last year. I’m excited to continue building on the foundation we’ve created together and can’t wait to see all that this new school year brings for our Roadrunners.

CLASS ASSIGNMENTS
We’re excited to help you get ready for a fantastic new school year! On Monday afternoon, you’ll receive an email letting you know your child’s teacher. You can also see teacher names on ParentVUE starting Tuesday morning. Our staff will be on campus and ready to help you find your child’s teacher's name and classroom during the Popsicle Party and on Thursday, the first day of school
. We can’t wait to see those smiling faces!
CLOSED CAMPUS
PUSD campuses will remain ‘closed campuses’ to ensure safety of our students and staff. On the first day of school only, parents/guardians will be able to walk their child(ren) to their class line-up area. Beginning August 14, all children will be dropped off and picked up at the gate at all campuses.
BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT
Interested in Volunteering in the 2025-2026 School Year?
If you are interested in serving as a volunteer at our school next year, please note we require a written TB clearance from a licensed health care provider. If you are due for your TB screening (once every four years), we are hoping this advance notification will give you ample time over the summer to complete this part of the process. We recommend getting this done before school starts to help speed up the volunteer clearance process when we return to school in August. Here is a link to the form.
WELCOME TO WESTWOOD POPSICLE PARTY

Dine in, take out, or order online anytime that day, and 25% of the proceeds will support our school’s programs and enrichment opportunities. It’s a delicious way to support our students and get back into the school spirit! Hope to see you there!!
