DMS Delivers
December 20, 2024
Dear DMS Families,
It is hard to believe that our Winter Break is here. We want to thank those of you who were able to join us for our Chorus and Band concerts this week. We are very proud of the hard work put in by all of our students, as well as Ms. Lopez and Mr. Brundage, and are looking forward to what is to come in the Spring.
We hope that all of our DMS families enjoy some rest and relaxation over the course of the next few weeks. We look forward to having our students back at school after some much needed time with family and friends. We will see everyone on January 2nd!
Below you will find SEPAC information, as well as information on school breakfast and lunch. You will also see similar information to last week regarding DMS basketball games, the January PTO newsletter, recess in the winter, ordering a yearbook, and the new DR podcast. Middle School Basketball Games
As we begin to enter into our basketball season with home games, we are asking families to be available to pick up their students by 5:00 p.m. Most games are over by this time, and if they run a little bit over, they are definitely finished by 5:15 p.m. We appreciate your support with this, as there is a lot of work to be done in our gym/school after games are finished.
In addition, we will continue to encourage students to cheer for our team, and not against the other team, as this helps to build a positive environment for everyone. We truly appreciate your partnership in this, and hope that you will remind students of this at home as well. While we appreciate all of the support of our athletic teams, it is important that we are representing DMS and the Massasoit League with pride, integrity and sportsmanship. Thank you in advance for your help with this.

Winter Recess
As the weather continues to get colder, please remind students to bring sweatshirts and/or jackets to school each day. We will continue to go outside for recess if the weather permits.
Also, if you are missing something at home, please encourage students to check our Lost and Found during lunch. We also remind them often, but another reminder might be helpful.
Thank you in advance for your help with this.

DMS Breakfast/Lunch Menu
Reminder to Families
Dear DR Families,
As you may know, Massachusetts now provides free breakfast and lunch for all students across the Commonwealth!
We are encouraging families who may have qualified for the National Free & Reduced School Lunch Program in the past to complete the online application. This helps determine eligibility and ensures that we can continue to offer reduced or waived fees for various programs and activities. When completing the application, please remember to include consent for sharing your status with relevant departments and programs.
Without this qualification and your consent, we will be unable to provide reduced or waived fees.
Thank you for your cooperation!
Technology Repair Fees
Dear Families,
We hope this message finds you well. As part of our commitment to maintaining our technology resources, we wanted to inform you about our updated repair fee structure. This will go into effect on October 28, 2024. These fees help us cover the cost of repairs when school-issued devices are damaged due to misuse or carelessness. The fees are divided into three tiers, depending on the extent of the damage:
- Level 1: Charger, Cover (top or bottom), Touchpad, etc- $40
- Level 2: Keyboard, Monitor- $75
- Level 3: Total Loss/Replacement- $300
We encourage students to handle their devices with care to avoid any damage and the associated costs. If a device does require repair, the appropriate fee will be communicated to you along with the steps to resolve the issue.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support in keeping our technology in great condition!
In addition, if your child needs Chromebook repairs, you will receive an email directly from mySchoolBucks regarding payment.
