Staggered Start Information
To help PreK and K5 students transition successfully into the school environment, we will begin the year with a staggered start. This approach allows teachers time to get to know each child individually, build positive relationships with families, and complete beginning-of-year assessments in a calm and welcoming setting.
Please mark your calendars for the following important dates. Additional information will be shared throughout the summer. The week of July 20, families will receive information about signing up for their child’s individual appointment time.

Updating Student Information for Returning Students
Parents of returning students should have received an email from FinalForms on July 1, 2026.
- Please use the link in the email to access and sign 2026-2027 forms for your returning student.
- IMPORTANT: CURRENT SDPC STUDENTS SHOULD NOT REGISTER AS A NEW STUDENT.
- If you did not receive an email from FinalForms for your RETURNING SDPC student, please DO NOT register your student as a new student in FinalForms.
- Please contact your child's school so they can assist you with gaining access to update your child's information in FinalForms.
- If you do not want SDPC to disclose directory information from your child's education records to any outside organization without your prior written consent, you must complete the Opt-out for Media & Directory Information Form (also known as "Media Denial Form").
- The completed form must be returned to your student's principal no later than fifteen (15) days after registration. Media denial is not considered complete without the written form. An Opt-out for Media & Directory Information Form is required to be completed and returned each year for students to retain opt-out status.
