Happy Hangawi(Chuseok)! Happy Hangawi(Chuseok)!

As we celebrate Hangawi(Chuseok), one of Korea’s most cherished holidays, we pause to give thanks to God our Father. He watches over the changing seasons and blesses us with the joy of harvest.

In this season of gratitude, let us be inspired by our ancestors who generously shared even the smallest blessings with their neighbors. May we follow their example and embrace a spirit of sharing and generosity in our own lives.

Wishing you all a blessed and joyful Hangawi!

Back-to-School Mass and First Day of CCD & YG Back-to-School Mass and First Day of CCD & YG

We extend our heartfelt thanks to all who joined us for the Back-to-School Mass and the first day of CCD & YG. It was truly a blessed occasion with around 240 attendees, including many children returning to church after a long summer break.

Father Michael’s engaging homily, which featured interactive moments with the CCD children and youth group as well as small prizes for answering his questions, added a special touch. The beautiful music performed by the orchestra further enriched the experience, making the Mass a memorable event.

We are deeply grateful for your participation and support. We look forward to seeing everyone at our future gatherings and continuing to grow together as a community.

Seminarian Education Fund Collection - September 21-22

The Annual Seminarian Appeal collection will take place the weekend of September 21-22, 2024. This is an important source of funding for our ministry of priestly formation in the Archdiocese of Chicago. This appeal supports not only Mundelein Seminary, but also our college seminarians who now study at St. John Vianney College Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Your financial support helps cover the cost of their preparation, which includes tuition and fees, room and board and health insurance. Please know, too, that promoting priestly vocations is the work of the entire Church. You can help support vocations by praying for an increase in vocations, encouraging young men to consider the priesthood, praying for our seminarians, and supporting Mundelein Seminary. Please keep our seminarians in your prayers as they continue their journey toward the priesthood. On behalf of all seminarians, thank you for your generosity.
