This is always such a bittersweet time of the year! After twelve fantastic weeks with my classes, the trimester has ended. The Vocal Power Showcase was wonderful and Aladdin Jr was charming! If you attended, thank you! Please send pictures!

As promised, Show Choir will now meet on Tuesdays, and 7/8 Singers on Thursday.

Our 7/8 Singers and Show Choir have been invited to perform at two local choral events on Saturday, December 7 at the Toys for Tots at the Park Ridge City Hall and on Saturday, December 14 at 4:00 PM at the Park Ridge Community Church. Please save the dates!

We are in the process of scheduling everyone who submitted the D64 Vocal Solo/Ensemble Submission Form. The schedule will be in next week's newsletter!

What a wonderful week! The Vocal Power class performed their Show Off Songs. This unit explores how to perform music with style and stage presence. Music 6 completed their Musical Unit! See below for some excellent examples of their previous International Unit. The Digital Music Class completed their Movie Soundtracks and Composer podcasts. The Music Theater Workshop class performed the charming Aladdin. All the classes are AMAZING!

7/8 Singers will rehearse on Tuesdays after school (3:00 - 4:00) and Thursdays before school (7:30 - 7:55)

Show Choir will rehearse on Thursdays after school (3:00 - 4:00) and Tuesdays before school (7:30 - 7:55)

Friday Morning Rehearsal 7:30 - 7:55 - Both groups

Singers may attend as many rehearsals as they wish each week. They are only expected to attend one rehearsal per group!

The All School Musical is a student chaired production.

Students lead and work all of the crews: Choreography, Costumes, Dance Captains, Hair & Make-up, Lights, Prop Construction, Publicity, Set Construction, Sound, and Stage.

All students who audition for the musical are cast!
