WEST CONTRA COSTA UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT HOSTS HIRING EXPO TO FAST-TRACK EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES FOR FALL 2026

RICHMOND — West Contra Costa Unified School District (WCCUSD) will host a Hiring Expo Saturday, May 30, 2026 at DeJean Middle School, offering candidates a streamlined opportunity to interview, complete hiring requirements, and connect directly with district teams, all in one location.

The WCCUSD Hiring Expo, “Fast Track to Fall 2026,” is designed to accelerate the hiring process for both certificated and classified positions, supporting the district’s ongoing efforts to recruit passionate professionals committed to serving students and strengthening school communities.

“At Fast Track to Fall, prospective school staff and educators move through multiple steps of the hiring process in a single visit,” said Superintendent Cheryl Cotton. “This is a great opportunity for WCCUSD recent graduates, college students, and members of our community who are ready to make an immediate impact in our students’ lives.”

Attendees will have the opportunity to:

  • Interview on-site with hiring teams

  • Complete required testing

  • Connect directly with department representatives

  • Advance more quickly toward employment for Fall 2026

WCCUSD encourages individuals considering a career in education, those seeking a career change, or returning applicants to attend and explore a wide range of opportunities across the district. These opportunities reflect WCCUSD’s continued investment in its workforce, including a $5,000 bonus for teachers who are WCCUSD graduates, recently increased salaries for paraprofessionals, and strengthened pathways supporting classified staff in becoming teachers.
