Coppell Choir Weekly Newsletter

The first week of school was great! We are so eager to see friendships begin to grow and music-making take place. All singers have started accessing Presto to sign our choir handbook. Please reach out to Mr. Coronado if you have any Presto or handbook-related questions.

We will begin individual voice assessments in class on Monday and begin learning music. Also, be sure to submit the voice lesson forms, as spots are very limited and spaces are running out.

Our annual Parent/Guardian Meeting is MANDATORY for all choir families. We will share important information about the upcoming school year, including expectations, events, performances, fees, travel, and ways families can support our singers.

Our first Choir Booster meeting of the school year will take place immediately following the Mandatory Parent/Guardian Meeting.

All choir parents and guardians are members of the Choir Booster Club, and we would love to have you join us! We will share important information about the year ahead and ways you can get involved in supporting our choir program. We hope to see you there!

🌅 Weekly Wednesday Morning Rehearsals
Beginning Wednesday, August 19 | 7:40 AM
📍 CHS Choir Room

Weekly Wednesday morning rehearsals will begin for Varsity Treble and Select Tenor-Bass.

Students should arrive on time and ready to sing at 7:40 AM. Please plan accordingly for morning drop-off and allow enough time to get settled before rehearsal begins.

🎤 All-State Choir Camp
Saturday, August 22
📍 CHS Choir Room

All-State Choir Camp is MANDATORY for all Varsity singers. If you are taking the SAT, please come after you’re done testing. We encourage all singers to come and learn the TMEA music. THIS IS FREE FOR ALL COPPELL CHOIR SINGERS.

Dear Parents and Students,

We are excited to begin planning for the 2026–2027 school year and wanted to share information about our private voice lesson program. Voice lessons are an invaluable part of a singer’s development, and we strongly encourage all students to participate.

Voice lessons are a required component for students in our varsity ensembles: A Cappella and Kantorei.

To help us coordinate schedules and secure spots with our voice faculty, we ask that you please complete the Voice Lessons Commitment Form as soon as possible.

Your timely response will help ensure your student is placed with an instructor and receives the full benefit of this important part of our music curriculum.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re looking forward to another great year of growth and music-making!

Our Choir Booster organization is looking for enthusiastic parents and guardians to help support our amazing choir program next year! At our most recent booster meeting, we identified several key positions that will be open. Whether you have a little time or a lot, there’s a place for you to make a meaningful impact.

(Co)Vice-President of Operations & Administration

A hands-on role for someone who enjoys working with people and coordinating activities. Responsibilities include supporting registration, overseeing hospitality, organizing volunteers, and assisting the President. This role also coordinates the senior scholarship process.

(Co) Vice-President of Marketing
Great for creative thinkers! This position focuses on promoting choir events and achievements through publicity, social media, and website updates, helping build excitement and awareness in our community.

Booster involvement is a rewarding way to support our students, connect with other families, and be part of something truly special. Many roles can be shared (co-positions available), and you’ll always have support from fellow board members.
