ELA: Mrs. Camden

Just a reminder, students are required to read two books each month for the rest of the school year. These books count as summative grades. Remind your child that they must fill out a completed book form for their reading to count. Completed book forms are in the classroom next to the pencil sharpener.

I will be placing a Scholastic book order on February 29th for anyone who submits an order online.

If you’d like to donate books to our classroom library, we have wish-lists on Scholastic and Amazon. Thanks!

Science: Mr. Vorel

It has been another great week in science. On Monday students wrapped up a lab that looked at heat loss and factors that may accelerate or prevent it. Then, on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday we completed two labs on heat loss and a third lab on heat absorption. These labs are part of our larger unit on heat transfer which focuses on conduction, convection, and radiation.

Social Studies: Mr. McGinnis

First-Thank you volunteers for making our trip to JA Finance Park a success. Everyone was accounted for when we left! Joking aside, it was a wonderful learning experience.

Our assessment over Personal finance is on Wed. Feb 26th.

Study vocab and on Friday students will complete their study guide.

Starting next week students from UMSL will teach 1 lesson a week on the Global Marketplace.

Enjoy your weekend and your King Cake.
