A message from Mrs. Holloman, Principal🍎

Dear IVES Family,

As I write my final newsletter as principal of Inspiration View Elementary School, my heart is overflowing with gratitude.

Thank you all so much for the wonderful pictures, cards, gifts, and heartfelt messages. I have been deeply moved by the love and kindness you have shown me as I retire. Every thoughtful gesture has meant more than words can express.

On a fun note, many of the gift cards helped purchase a stroller that will soon be put to good use! We are excited to welcome our grandchildren to Grandma and Gramps' house beginning next Wednesday, and this new chapter is one we eagerly anticipate.

Thank you for giving me the privilege of working with your children. It has been the supreme honor of my career to serve this incredible community. Throughout my years at IVES, I have learned so much from each of you—students, parents, and staff alike. You have helped shape me into a better person and a better leader, and for that I will always be grateful.

I know IVES will continue to thrive in the years ahead. Mrs. Krissi Camper is a wonderful leader who is excited to guide IVES into the future. She will be supported by the outstanding leadership team of Jessica Cole and Alison Kiselich, whose dedication and expertise will continue to strengthen our school community.

Please tell your children that I will miss them dearly. I want every student to know how proud I am of them. Each one possesses unique gifts and talents, and I have no doubt they will accomplish amazing things in their lives. Watching them learn, grow, and succeed has been one of the greatest joys of my career.

Thank you for allowing me to be part of your lives and your children's educational journey. The memories and relationships I have built at IVES will remain in my heart forever.

May God bless each of you, bring you joy, and fill your days with happiness and hope.

With heartfelt gratitude,

Pam Holloman
Principal

Helpful Information for the Year 📓

Cell Phone Policy:

In accordance with district policy, cell phones and other personal communication devices (to include smart watches) should be kept in students' backpacks and turned off during the school day. These devices should not be used during school hours unless specifically authorized by a teacher for educational purposes. This helps reduce distractions and supports a positive classroom environment.

Please review the Power Zone and Inspiration View Elementary's Cell Phone Policy

Dress Code:

We ask that families help ensure students come to school dressed appropriately. Clothing should be school-appropriate, comfortable for learning and play, and in line with the district dress code. This includes items such as shorts and tank tops, which should provide adequate coverage and support a respectful school atmosphere.

Important Traffic Support Needed

Safety is our first concern. Please follow the signage for right turn only out of the parking lot. We have had several near misses recently and need to ensure the safety of all. Thank you for following the posted signage.

Please do not use the dirt lot to the west of the school as this property is not a parking lot and creates safety concerns when exiting onto Vista Del Pico. Please use the street for parking, the kiss and go lane, or the Inspiration View Elementary parking lot. Thank you!

Attendance:

If your student has an appointment, please be sure to send in a physician's note to the front office so that we can properly code the excused absence in the system. Examples might include, doctor, dentist, etc.).

Should your student be absent, parents must report this absence to the front office with a phone call (719-495-5302) or an email (nicole.prewett@d49.org). Nicole is our Attendance Secretary and is the person who can assist with the call. If you do not report your student's absence, it will be marked as unexcused. Unexcused absences are tracked and reported to D49 truancy. If you have any questions about reporting absences or truancy, please reach out to Jessica Cole (719-495-5307).
