Parking / Crossing Guard
Please be mindful that parking is limited and we are still without a crossing guard. In the interest of being able to maximise the amount of collection points in the school for drop off and collection, we would kindly ask that you minimise large gaps when parking in front of or behind other cars as we have limited space available for collection and drop off.
Also, please be mindful of where you are parking when dropping and collecting your child, please do not park up on our neighbours grass or in front of their entrance gates.
I will touch base with the council again today and insist that they allocate someone to the role of crossing guard outside the school as soon as possible. Until such time, please continue to accompany your child across the road and wait for the green light before crossing.
Seesaw Updates
Seesaw have updated their app so that you can add more than one profile to your account.
This update means that multiple students can be signed into their account at the one time which will make it easier on families who have more than one child checking and/or adding homework to the app.
Please watch the follwoing 2 minute video to show you how to add accounts to your profile...
Morning Circles
This year, all classes start their day with a morning circle as part of our Wellbeing Improvement Plan. Research supports the use of morning cirlces to help create a nurturing, inclusive, and emotionally supportive classroom environment, which is essential for a child's overall development, not only academically but also socially and emotionally. It enables children to feel valued, heard, and ready to engage with their daily learning experiences in a positive way.
In the circle, the children are given an opportunity to greet each other, we explore school values, we discuss the plan and expectations for the day and we finish the circle with a positive activity such as a would you rather question or a riddle. Everyone is really enjoying our morning circles!
