Dear OLVCS Families,

I hope you are enjoying a relaxing summer and making special memories with your family!

Here at OLVCS, we have been busy preparing for the new school year through interviewing, planning, scheduling, ordering supplies and cleaning. While the summer months have been productive, we are eagerly anticipating the return of our students. The hallways simply are not the same without the energy, laughter, and joy our students bring each day.

We look forward to welcoming everyone back soon for another wonderful year of learning, faith, and community.

We are pleased to announce that we have hired the following teachers and staff to join our team. They are highly qualified and will be be excellent additions to our team.

1st Grade Teacher: Maria Stoehr
1st Grade Aide: Lindsay Karashay
5th Grade Teacher: John Cimino

Take Action Now

HB 2632 has passed the Pennsylvania House of Representatives by a vote of 105–97 and is now headed to the Pennsylvania Senate for consideration. We need to make our voices heard before it comes to a vote in the PA Senate Chambers.

Please take a few moments to contact your PA State Senator and respectfully urge them to vote NO on HB 2632. You can find your senator and contact information here: https://www.palegis.us/find-my-legislator or send a premade message here: Pennsylvania Catholic Conference » Voter Voice

Your voice matters. A brief phone call or email can make a difference. Thank you for taking the time to advocate for our students, families, and schools.

Cafeteria Refund Policy

After the last day of school, your child’s cafeteria account balance in mySchoolBucks will be held by Our Lady of Victory Catholic School and carried over to next year. If your child will not be attending OLVCS in the fall, you must email Chris Meckley (meckleyc@olvcs.org) by July 1 to request a refund. We will not refund balances under $5. We will transfer any balances that are not refunded to support free and reduced lunches at OLVCS.

Requests for refunds will be processed after the last day of school. The refund process may take up to six weeks to complete. Questions about these procedures can be directed to OLVCS Food Service Director Chris Meckley at meckleyc@olvcs.org.

The Walk-a-Thon will be held on OLV Day, October 7, 2026.

This event is our school's primary fundraiser, providing vital support for our programs, facilities, and activities.
Summer offers an ideal opportunity to get a head start on your family’s fundraising efforts.
Whether you’ll be enjoying time at home or traveling to visit loved ones, there are many simple and meaningful ways to begin working toward your goal:

Host a Lemonade Stand
Organize a Bake Sale
Offer a Car Wash
Do chores for donations
Sell homemade crafts or artwork
Hold a yard sale
Provide dog walking or pet sitting services
Send handwritten donation letters to family and friends
Speak with relatives during summer visits to ask for their support

All donations may be made securely online at: www.olvcatholicschool.org/walkathon
Every little bit helps, and remember, your summer fundraising efforts will count toward students’ eligibility for individual, family, and class prizes!
We are grateful for the effort, creativity, and generosity that our school community brings to this event each year.

Active and involved families are one of the reasons that OLVCS is so special!
