Integrity-Virtue of the Month

I have integrity. I mean what I say and say what I mean. I stand up for what I feel is right. I am my own leader.

What is Integrity?

Integrity is standing up for what you believe is right, living by your highest values. It is being honest and sincere with others and yourself. You are integrous when your words and actions match. You don’t fool yourself into doing what you know is wrong. You fill your life and your mind with things that help you to live a good, honest life.

Why Practice It?

Without integrity, no one would be able to trust each other to do what they say they are going to do. Integrity helps us to listen to our conscience, to do the right thing, to tell the truth. When people act with integrity, they stand for something. Others believe them and rely on them. Integrity gives us self-respect and a peaceful heart.

How Do I Practice It?

You practice integrity by thinking about the virtues that matter to you and doing your best to live by them. When you make a mistake, you clean it up. You don’t follow the crowd. You think for yourself. You don’t say one thing and do another. You do the right think even when no one is watching. Even when no one is watching. Even when it is hard to do the right thing, you stand strong.

What Would Integrity Look Like If…

-All your friends sare going to a movie your grown ups don’t want you to see?

-You promised your friend you would keep their secrets? (As long as it’s not a safety concern)

-The teacher has left the room?

-You find a jacket at school and it's nicer than yours?

-Other people are cheating on a test?

-You agree to do a job and it becomes too hard?

-Someone is being bullied in your presence?

Signs of Success

You are practicing Integrity when you…

-Think about what virtues you care about.

-Stand strong for what you believe.

-Willings clean up mistakes.

-Do the right thing even when it is hard.

-You are your own leader.

Enrollment Lottery Information

The Cincinnati Public Schools Magnet and High School lottery is now open for all High Schools, Magnet schools and programs, sibling applications and out-of-neighborhood applications through March 1, 2024.

For the past two years, CPS placed and assigned students from North Avondale Montessori to Clark Montessori High School. CPS is no longer offering this option to families due to Clark Montessori High School's limited available seats, making sure the process and prioritization remains aligned to existing board policies. Returning to this process ensures the application submission remains equitable for all and also follows the east-west designation based on the student’s home address. Please note, applications are not processed in a first-come-first-served order.

All rising 7th grade students interested in Clark or any other high school will need to apply through the lottery. To register for the lottery, you must create an account in Focus - CPS’ new student information system for the 2024-2025 school year.

In addition, we will soon announce a parent meeting in partnership with district officials to further discuss, answer questions and provide application assistance. Stay tuned for meeting dates and times.

For more information, or to begin the lottery application process, please visit www.cps-k12.org/lottery or contact CPS Customer Care at 513-363-0123. If you have direct questions from [SCHOOL], please call us at [PHONE#] during normal school hours. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

Drop off & Pick Up Safety

To ensure student safety, please park in designated spaces only. Parking in the crosswalk is prohibited. Students should exit cards closest to the sidewalk only verses the driver side. Doors open at 8:20a. Pick up begins at 3:20p. Early pick up ends at 2:45p. To change your child's dismissal plan, call the school in advance.
