Principal's Message Principal's Message

Dear Twelve Bridges Families,

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! On Saturday, we had an amazing evening at our Harvest Festival. It was so great seeing so many of our current and former students and families back on campus. It was truly a memorable family event and a wonderful reminder of what makes our community so special. A huge thank you to our PTC and all of the volunteers who put so much time and effort into making the evening such a success!

This week, our 4th graders will participate in A Touch of Understanding, a hands-on disability awareness experience designed to build empathy, understanding, and respect for people of all abilities. Students will participate in activities that help them better understand some of the challenges individuals with disabilities may experience, while also hearing directly from people with disabilities about their lives and experiences. It is a powerful opportunity for our students to learn about inclusion, kindness, and seeing beyond our differences.

Later this month we will have our annual Halloween parade as well as a Fall Spirit Week that same week.

Let's have a great week!

Sincerely,

Will Middleton

We need ROAR Store volunteers to help make our ROAR Store a success!

The ROAR Store is open on the 1st and 3rd Fridays of each month from 10:20 AM–1:10 PM and is available during our Kindergarten–5th grade lunch periods.
Students get to β€œshop” for FUN prizes and goodies using the ROAR cards they’ve earned from teachers and staff for showing positive behaviors and making great choices!

What does ROAR stand for?

Responsible
Offer Kindness
Act Safe
Respectful

What would volunteers do?

Volunteers help students choose their prizes, keep the store organized, and make their ROAR Store experience fun and positive!

Can you help? Even if you can only volunteer for one Friday, we would LOVE to have you! Your time makes a big difference and helps us celebrate our students.

Thank you for supporting our students and helping make the ROAR Store possible! We appreciate our amazing TBE volunteers!

How to Clear and Absence How to Clear and Absence

If you need to clear your student's absence please choose one of the following ways:

  • If your student is absent, after 10AM, you will get an automated attendance text/email via Parent Square. Simply reply to that with the reason of your student's absence.
  • If you call before 7:30AM you can leave a message on our voicemail at 916-434-5220
  • You can email mpisik@wpusd.org
  • If you are unable to do any of the methods above, you can all the attendance line at 916-434-5210 and between 7:30-4:00PM an office staff member will answer. Due to the number of incoming phone calls and limited staff we ask for this to be a last resort option.

**Please note that emailing/communication with your student's teacher does NOT clear a student's absence.**
