We are excited to kick off another incredible year of empowering students through Career and Technical Education. This is our first edition of the CTE Connect, a monthly snapshot of key updates, support, and celebrations throughout the year.
This year’s theme, Excellence by Design, reminds us that success doesn’t happen by chance—it’s intentional, thoughtful, and built on a foundation of purpose and collaboration. Every lesson you plan, every connection you make with students, and every opportunity you provide is part of a greater design for excellence.

Empowering Educators: CTE Teacher Training – May 2025
Killeen ISD CTE teachers came together in May 2025 to enhance skills, share strategies, and strengthen student career success.
Wrenches to Wheels Building Bikes and Building Skills
During the Wrenches to Wheels event, students gained hands-on experience assembling bikes while developing teamwork, problem-solving, and technical skills through this collaborative community initiative.
CTAT Summer Conference 2025
Attending the Summer CTAT Conference, CTE educators engaged in professional development, networking, and learning innovative strategies to enhance student success.
Bring the following to Job Alike
- Bring your fully charged district issued device and charger
- Bring a printed copy of the most updated Scope and Sequence or TEKS
- Know the curriculum adoption resource (High Quality Instructional Materials) for your course(s)
- Be sure that you have access to your Teacher's Edition (hard copy or digital) for the course(s) you are teaching. Please reach out to your Campus Instructional Specialist(s) for assistance.
- Join the CTE Schoology group for your grade level (Middle or High - see photo).
