Student Parking Lots for the 2nd Trimester

We are excited to offer a variety of student parking options for the upcoming trimester! Please review the available parking lots and associated fees, as well as important guidelines and dates to ensure a smooth and positive experience.

  • Senior Parking Lot: $30/Trimester (Seniors only)

  • Bronco Student Lot: $20/Trimester

  • Racquetball Court Lot: $20/Trimester

  • BPAC Lot: Free, but still assigned spots (Note: Students cannot enter or exit this lot during bus transit times, which are 10 minutes before and 20 minutes after the school day ends.)

  • Rec Center (Swim Pool) Lot: Free, but still assigned spots

  • Riverbend Elementary School Lot: Free, but still assigned spots

Important Guidelines:

  • After the form submission deadline parking spots will be assigned. Once spots are assigned and posted, students will have one week to claim their selected parking spot, free spots must also be claimed. If any spots remain unclaimed after the first week of assignment, those unclaimed spots will be made available in a second chance drawing.

  • All students who drive to school must obtain a parking permit and are required to park in one of the six reserved parking lots.

  • Once you are selected for a spot, you must have a guardian sign a form, which should be submitted when claiming your spot.

  • Parking permits must be displayed on the rear window of your vehicle (driver’s side, lower corner) and students must park in their assigned spot.

  • Marking or altering parking spaces (e.g., graffiti, drawings, or names) is prohibited.

  • Parking regulations must be followed at all times. Violations may result in the loss of parking privileges.

Parking Violation Policy:

1. First Offense: Warning

2. Second Offense: Loss of parking privileges for the trimester

3. Third Offense: Loss of parking privileges for the remainder of the school year

Trading or reselling parking spots is prohibited and will result in the loss of parking privileges for the year.

Timeline and Process:

  • On November 4, 2024, at 12:20 PM, students will receive a Google Form to select their preferred parking lot. Lots are assigned on a first-come-first-serve basis, so be sure to act quickly! Once a lot is full, it will no longer be available.

  • By November 7, 2024, at 4:15 PM, students must claim their parking spots by paying for their permit (for paid lots) or picking up their permit (for free lots).

Thank you for your cooperation and attention to these details. We look forward to providing a smooth and organized parking experience for all students!

Fall Sports

Fall sports have been keeping us busy around Blackfoot High School last month! With the realignment of classifications Blackfoot High School is now a 5A school.

Football has had a good season so far even with the injuries the team has endured. They have a record of 5-4 right now which puts them in the #10 spot. They will be heading into play-offs on November 1st against the #7 seed Preston. Game time starts at 7:00 pm in Preston.

Boys soccer has a record of 9-0-1 in the regular season making them the #1 seed going into districts. At districts they fell short in overtime losing the first game to Skyline. They were able to fight their way back, beating Hillcrest 2-1 and Skyline 1-0 to punch their ticket to State. At state they played Sandpoint first beating them 5-0 and Idaho Falls 3-1. They only loss they had was against the #1 seed Wood River. They were able to bring home the 5A 3rd place trophy!

Our girls soccer team had a challenging but valuable season. Despite not securing any wins, the team demonstrated incredible determination and sportsmanship throughout. As a young team with only one graduating senior, they focused on growth and development. Each game provided an opportunity to learn and improve, and the team consistently showed resilience and positive attitudes. With a strong foundation built this year, the future looks bright for our girls soccer program.

Golf is loving being a Fall sport, especially with the nice weather we had this year. They had 1 Boy Kyle Steidley qualify as an individual and our boys team including Zaven Fairchild, Ridge Seamons, Peyton Taylor, Seth McNeel and Joey McCarroll to go to State. This is the second year in a row they have qualified as a team.

Despite a strong season that earned them the second seed, the Volleyball team faced formidable opponents in the playoffs. Though their efforts were valiant, they fell short of victory in two crucial district matches, ultimately ending their journey toward the state championship.

Cross Country has been running their hearts out this season. They have run so well they were able to qualify 3 runners at districts to head to the state competition. They are Sailor Tomazin, Owen Gregory, and Tanner Despain. State will be held November 2nd at Eagle Island State Park in Boise.

Great job to all of our Student Athletes, we are so proud of you!

Looking ahead:

Wrestling will be having a mandatory parent meeting on November 4th @ 6:00 pm in the cafeteria.

Boys Basketball tryouts will be November 15th from 10:00 am -12:00 pm and November 16th from 1:00 - 3:00 pm.

We will also have all necessary forms that need to be filled out prior to the start of the sport. We will have a notary available to notarize the drug form.

The Blackfoot Boosters Soup Auction will be held November 6th. Soup will be served starting at 6:00 pm and the auction will start at 7:00 pm. Tickets are available to purchase from any student athlete or at the door. They are $5.00 for an individual or $20.00 for a family of 5. Veteran's Assembly

This year during our school's veterans day assembly, for the first time we will have a combined performance of Choir, Band, and Orchestra members. They will be performing a medley that features hymns, marches, and fight songs of the five major U.S. armed services branches: The Army Goes Rolling Along; The Marines' Hymn; Anchors Aweigh; The U.S. Air Force Song and Semper Paratus.

Marching Band News

Huge Congratulations to our Color Guard coaches and students for winning best Auxiliary in the ISU Mountain West Marching Band Invitational on October 19. They placed first over Bonneville, Hillcrest, Burley, Century, Idaho Falls, and Highland High Schools. This is the first time our program has grown large enough to compete in these schools' divisions, and we blew them out of the water.
